That's awesome. Wish I had seen this earlier. My friend made shirts for my Croo also. I designed them. They were black with the Joshua Tree in gold and over that they said "Fuckin' U2 T-Shirt" in white. We made two extra for the Scotts, but of course they didn't show. I carried them around on Friday hoping that I could get in the pit and get Bono to notice so I could toss them onstage, but I had to see Kidjo and by the time I got over there the line was so long I couldn't even tell where it ended to jump in.
We got some props for wearing them, anyway. Most people didn't know the exact reference, some did, but even without that they worked on a meta- level. One guy asked to take a picture with us just cuz he was a big U2 fan.
You're welcome! There's a whole trove of Earwolf stuff I'm excited to listen to like the Andy Daly's old show and I think Wild Horses have a mini-series? Anyway have fun!
any other must-listen cbb episodes? there are so many lists online, i don't know where to start. i can't remember if we ever talked about big grande's teacher's lounge, but i highly recommend that and it's on premium.
We definitely didn't talk about it but now it's on my list.
I love all the Time Bobby episodes. Those are pretty great. Same for all the Oh, Hello episodes.
#338: Be My Guest, Literally! is incredible. Truly one of the all time bests.
#176: Out of Bleeps is insane and an absolute must-listen. It has the debut of Tom Leykis AND Amy Poehler. #123 also has Amy Poehler's incredible freestyle rap.
I'm a sucker for Andy Daly so I'm going to say any episode with Hot Dog or Joe Bongo. And definitely the Mayor of Hollywood episode. Episode 103 is where "What's Up Hot Dog" comes from.
You've probably heard all of them but I'd say any episode with Thomas Middleditch in it, especially Joey Tortellini and the Kid Detectives episodes.
Mailer Daemon is a classic. I also love Kroll as R. Schrift and/or El Chupacabra.
James Adomian as Jesse Ventura.
The episode with Don't Stop Or We'll Die is an all time fave. "Paul loves chemicals so much he's like Walter White over here."
Man... there's probably a million more that I am forgetting. But that's a good start.

"But seriously, we met underneath the bridge."
Anything with Paul Rust is great. The one with him, Gillian Jacobs, and PFT was my favorite recent episode.
Harris was great, too. May he rest in peace.
It kind of goes without saying, but the Best-Ofs are awesome. Great jumping-off points, because they have the high points of episodes that you can then go back and listen to in full. That's how I got turned on to the Hollywood Handbook guys (Sean Clements and Hayes Davenport). Their episodes of CBB are great and their podcast is the only Earwolf show I listen to every week. They have a very specific kind of sarcastic humor that's pretty inside-Hollywood, but I like it a lot.

new no-no's are one of my favorite things ever. i've listened to all of the best of episodes and all the farts and procreation episodes already because they're available without premium, so i'm familiar with some of the older characters even though i haven't heard full episodes. i'm happy someone else i know listens to hollywood handbook. i've been trying to get ANYONE to listen, but it just doesn't sound funny when you describe it.
Yeah I tried to listen to it with my friend once and he was just like "what is this?" I don't know if he even got that it was meant to be funny. It's quite esoteric.

Yea the Best Ofs are fantastic. Partly because, like you said, it's all the yearly highlights. But also because you can hear Scott and PFT slowly devolve into madness. It's such an insanely weird and joyful experience. I look forward to it every year.
i watched a couple of the old seasons last year, but i don't think i've ever seen the first season of the show. the whole thing is on the mtv website, so i'm gonna work my way through it and listen to the podcast episodes as i go.

There's also an MTV app for Roku. That's what I'm watching it on.
i only started regularly listening to comedy bang bang at the start of last year, so this week was the first time i got to hear bob ducca. i almost crashed my work minivan laughing at his list of manopause symptoms. definitely going back into the archives to hear more from him.

I just listened to this episode and yes it was amazing.

i made a playlist of every bob ducca episode and listened to all of them over the weekend while i worked. every one is ridiculous, and it was fun to hear characters i've heard of but never listened to, and the progression of characters who are still popular now. i also listened to all of the halloween episodes to prepare for the return to suicide house in a few weeks. the song is funny every time.

Dumb People Town has been a real mood lifter for me lately. It's hosted by the Sklar Brothers and Daniel Van Kirk with a special guest every week. I'd recommend starting with the Tig Notaro episode.
Just got into Song Exploder, pretty awesome. Any other good music-related podcast recommendations?
Rolling Stone has one that has some good stuff sometimes. The one with Jonny Marr I posted above was good if you are interested The Smiths at all. Marc Maron has some good interviews with musicians sometimes too.
I just looked up Song Exploder and will check it out. Premise seems cool.

The one with Harris and Jon Heder where Seth Morris plays Hank Williams Jr. is another all-timer.

Bob Ducca is one of the best recurring characters and that was an all-timer. YouTube is great for the best-of Bob Duccas. This one with Tig Notaro is incredible.
edit: I see now that you've listened to all of them already. I should read the thread before I respondd! Regardless... I love this one.

No Effects with Jesse Cohen Aquarium Drunkard Transmissions is good but they don't publish stuff that often I Only Listen To The Mountain Goats New Sounds with WNYC Studios
Celebration Rock with Steven Hyden is supposed to be good. I've downloaded a few but haven't listened.
I've found that I only get into Song Exploder when it's a song that I know and there are very few songs that I know that he features but I love the host. He cohosts the The West Wing Weekly podcast.

Hey everybody. My friend and I launched a podcast called On The Record. We'll review albums both new and old, discuss singles or music news and talk about concerts or festivals we attend. The first episode focuses on Arcade Fire's Everything Now and Tyler, The Creator's Flowerboy albums. I know these album discussions are very timely—this may have been originally recorded months ago—but enjoy! We'll have new episodes every week, every other week or whenever we get off our asses.

I know some on here are fans of comedy bang bang/earwolf (beebee , piggy pablo , 10goldbees) so they may already be listening but if not.....anyone who grew up in the 80's/90's should definitely check out the new "Raised By TV" podcast from Lauren Lapkus and Jon Gabrus. Only two episodes are out right now but it's all about TV shows and pop culture stuff from growing up around that time. They are both Earwolf regulars and CBB favorites so it's cool hearing them do a non-character podcast where they just talk about themselves.

Yea, I'm actually annoyed there's not more to listen to already. After the first one I was totally onboard and knew it would be bringing up all the old stuff from growing up. The second episode focuses on game shows and I'm only a few minutes into it but they touch on Jeopardy/Wheel of Fortune and then the Nickelodeon shows like Guts and Legends of the Hidden Temple and all that.

Dude no joke I literally just finished the first episode before coming to this thread. I thought it was great! Lapkus and Gabrus are both so wildly entertaining that I'd probably listen to them talk about anything.
Definitely going to keep listening. I'm looking forward to being reminded of weird shows I've completely forgotten.

Episode 2 of On The Record folks! In this episode, we talk about the recent albums from The War on Drugs, Bicep and LCD Soundsystem and a shitty Taylor Swift single.
