I have that one. Very basic, telescoping stick with the GoPro attachment at the end. Make me look completely rad when I skateboard. I believe they make one now that has a spot for the GoPro remote to mount, so you have an easily-reached "clicker" for your selfie.
They also make one specifically for selfies that folds, rather than telescopes. It's a bit shorter, but because of its design it will not show up in your photo.
I have heard of people making these out of golf ball retrievers. That would give you significantly greater reach, but would also require handyman skills ... of which I have none. Our neighbor last year had a pole he designed which was in two parts, and was designed to rest on the ground while filming, so it would stay steady. He had attached an external microphone system via the USB port. Pretty neat set up.

I brought mine last year and had it all set up and synced with my iphone through the gopro app so I could record/stop recording without having to mess with the totem... Seemed like a really good idea in principle.
But in practice it only took one comment from someone in our group to put my perspective back in place: "Hey man...youre at Bonnaroo. Quit messing with video and just enjoy being here." I packed it away the rest of the weekend and never regretted it.

Annnnnnd they do sell the clip by itself. Yay.
Great point, superwoulfe. I am a photo junkie. But, I have only taken a point & shoot the last two years for the exact reason you mentioned. I don't want to try and capture an image an miss the moment. Honestly, I take as many photos outside of Centeroo as I do inside.
I bought a pack of attachments for the gopro on amazon for $32. It includes the stick, head attachement, body piece to wear your camera, and camera mount for car, as well as a floating device to keep your camera from sinking. The stick is nice, however, it is made for point and shoot cameras (it has a screw on base) but the kit I bought came with the gopro piece you need for the stick.
