I was thinking but up hoola hoops or atleast the tubing used to make hula hoops to be ribs for a torso piece and also to do the head and mouth. Probably alot of red, gold, silver fabric with what ever sewn to the side of it so it doesn't look like a giant twizler. Attach some el wire to it for night time dragoning (because that will obviously be fun to) and thats all I got. I am not very crafty and definitely could not make anything as ornate as whats posted above but thats sorta what I was thinking
Last year there was a two person elephant that I believe won. With two already having been done I figured two was safe and maybe three would be pushing it but hopfully they would be so overwhelmed by the greatness of the dragon they'll just throw tickets at all of us aswell as water to combat the heat exhaustion

Last year my group dressed up as the Winnie the Pooh gang. We wore onesies, so Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga (with a Roo plushie) and Christopher Robin. That's not all! We also had a giant banner with Pooh's tree and honey on it, including the words "Winnie the Roo" with the Bonnaroo logo. But that's not all! We also had a totem, topped with a basket which had a Pooh plushie sitting inside and several keychains of the characters' heads attached. Kinda creepy, I think they were McDonalds toys. We also attached el-wiring to the totem to make it light up.

There's going to be a 5k??
They had a 5k (on Friday morning I believe) in 2013 and 2014 and they've had good turnouts, from what I've heard. So I doubt they will discontinue it this year.
Also, in addition to Ash Ketchum I think I'm gonna do Depp from Fear and Loathing. Although it's overdone, I already have everything necessary for the outfit except a cheap Hawaiian shirt, so it'll be cheap and simple. I'm debating whether I'm gonna do any more costumes. But, if I do another, Ace Ventura when he has the tutu on is the front runner for what I will do.
I don't understand how you guys can wear onesies, masks, or even a long sleeve costume, I would surely die of heat exhaustion.
I can't understand the onesies and rubber masks. I take it all into consideration before deciding to do an outfit though. Plus, a lot of people I go with choose to wear normal clothes during the day and then, when they come back to camp to take a break, they change into costume before they head into Centeroo for the rest of the day/night. So that helps with the temperature because the sun isn't beating down on you

I spent most of my snow day at home looking at costume ideas. I still have... nothing. Last year, it was my first time and I didnt know what to expect at roo and didn't get a chance to get all my gear/meet up with the group I was planning on dressing up with. THIS YEAR IT'S GAME ON. Anyone still looking to dress up, or need someone to dress up with... I'm down!
Also, if anyone has any cute ideas (or non cute ideas), please share with me. I'm crafty, but getting an idea together is hard for me.
1/30: Cold War Kids
2/6: Cherub

5/25: Laura Jane Grace "Killing Me Loudly"

Me and my friends love Adventure Time, and I'm pretty sure we will have one night where we do the party bears. My name is Patrick, so it only makes sense for me to get a Party Pat outfit and walk around giving people mind's eye stickers.
Images for reference
Party Bears (kinda like care bears, just more awesome)
Party Pat (I need to get a satchel and one of those coats with the elbow patchs)

I was thrift shopping and found this retro button up shirt that is floral and has a lot of miami vice colors on it. So of course I had to make an outfit out of this. I then acquired some pink short shorts because that is the only thing that would match that, right? And also a miami vice mesh hat and fanny pack. So if you see a miami vice 80's FL tourist, feel free to say hello.
I'd be waaaaay to hot in it, but it would be fun to put together this costume to go along with yours!
Haha I'm not sure if this would fit in with the fashion of Levitation, but 'Roo for sure! I initially bought it as a potential gaper day costume for the tail end of spring skiing here in CO.

I just might have to get some friends to make up the core characters (Alan Grant, Ian Malcom, and Ellie Satler- and maybe John Hammond and his grand kids) from Jurassic Park with me on Friday at Roo to pay homage to the original because Jurassic World is coming out
