Alright, so I may be a bit early, but one of the things I love most about Bonnaroo, and fests in general, are the crazy/awesome costumes that people wear on the Farm. I have seen some really crazy ones throughout my years. So this thread can act as a place for all of us who will be dressing up on the farm to let each other know what/who we will be dressed as and you can also this as a place to discuss previous costumes and outfit ideas and tips if you want some other opinions and help on your outfit. I'm sure there will be tons of mau5 heads on the Farm this year (probably resulting in lots of people passing out from heat exhaustion) Again, I know it's really early, but I want something fun to read to remind me of the farm and all the awesome, kooky friends I have there.
I am currently undecided, but I'm considering being Ash Ketchum one night because two of my friends have Pokemon onesies. And possibly doing a blue suit and cowboy hat like William Onyeabor on the night Atomic Bomb! plays.
I think it could go over well. It'd be great because most people would just look and go "oh hey, they're dressed like superheroes." BUT, a select few people would see you and gasp and say, "oh my god, of all the superheroes, you guys did the ones from Siuers!!!! That's awesome!" And you would give them a great story to take away from Roo and you'd feel awesome for the compliment(s) they gave you.
Link/Sheik would be recognized by far more people though
Of course there's always this easy one, too... less extra gear to bring along
I will one day attempt to assemble that whole crew as accurately as possible. But unless I can get damn near every character filled in for, I'd feel like I was falling short

In 2013, one of the girl's I went with dressed as a unicorn but she made her horn out of lights and her tell had lights running through it. So, during the day, she looked pretty good but at night her outfit was badass. I usually just dress as Freddy Kreuger because I'm a burn victim, so there's a little inside joke/story to it that only my friends and the people who go out of their way to talk to me can appreciate. But I wanna change it up at Roo. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna do Ash so my outfit goes with my friends. But the pictures from Life Aquatic has me wanting to pull something off from a Wes Anderson movie or Tarantino flick.

Awesome!!! Seem this is why I made this thread, I'm already excited to see you, someone I don't really even know, simply because of the clothes you'll be wearing! I just gotta figure out my other outfit I'm gonna do because I am white, so if I try to do Onyeabor, people will just think I'm the sports anchor from Anchorman and not Onyeabor, so I think I'm gonna do something else.
To clarify, I'm not at all racist, just saying my white skin really fucks up me trying to be Onyeabor, especially because most of the people at roo won't even know who he is/what he looks like.

it's not undercover, nor is it a costume, but this has been my festival attire for the last couple years, basically everyday. sunday tends to turn into my 2012 tie dye roo shirt and t-wolves shorts

Jiggly puff would be hysterical, plus it would give you an excuse to write on people with sharpy!!! One of my friends will be Charmander and the other will be Pikachu. I have found that of the basic pokemon, Squirtle is the most rare one to encounter. So, if you see a Squirtle be sure to take a picture with em because it's quite a rare catch, haha. I have a red headed girl that's probably going with us and I'm gonna beg her to be my Misty. How awesome would it be to see Ash walking around with his Charmander and Pikachu and Misty with them with Togepi in her arms!!! Now I just need a Brock and I mightttt be able to get another friend of mine to do it and he has similar hair to Brock

I have only seen two squirtles and they were both at Hulaween this past year and I was walking with my two friends in their pokemon outfits and I was SO bummed that I wasn't dressed like Ash because it would've made the perfect picture having all four of us. Oh and I forgot, I don't think I've ever seen a bulbasaur. Charmander is my favorite of the starter pokemon, so when I found out my friend got that outfit, I got extremely excited that I'd get to hang out with Charmander at festivals.
Last year my buddy wore his homemade Megaman costume (Saturday night I believe). It's complete with a cutout beverage holder in the blaster. I can't tell you how many shoutouts and pictures that guy got that night. Pretty sure he'll be bringing it again, so keep an eye out for Megaman in 2015...
