My band opened for em a few years back in Milwaukee. Phenomenal live. High energy. Only way I miss this show is if they conflict with MMJ (which is not likely) or something crazy.

Can't wait for this set. I have so much respect for Laura Jane Grace, she's awesome for doing what she did. Plus Transgender Dysphoria Blues was a great record

I'm hoping to get a chance to see them soon. I went to the 2010 show and it was fast, sounded great and there was a lot of crowd energy for an afternoon show. I haven't seen them since Laura Jane Grace started performing as a female and I'm interested to see how or if the band has changed. It might have been in a different thread here even but she did an interview recently that was pretty insightful, she talked about her bands' reaction, attempting suicide and was just extremely open in general.
Very much looking forward to this show. This is a band I've wanted to see for years and just never got the chance.
I've seen them probably close to ten times now and every time I walk away with my mind blown. The amount of fun they are having on stage is just so evident and Laura is truly amazing. Very hard to beat.
rebelbrad I highly recommend you check out some of their older stuff, particularly As the Eternal Cowboy and Searching for a Former Clarity. Everything is great but they draw quite a bit from those two albums at their live shows, and they're both spectacular albums.

That's awesome. Good to know they don't shy away from some of the classics. Although, I'm excited to hear some of Transgender Dysphoria Blues live. That album was fantastic.

Last night I bought tickets to Laura Jane Grace's Memorial Day "Killing Me Loudly" show in NYC as a birthday present to myself (my birthday is 5/26).. Absolutely cannot wait. The press release promises her performing songs, spoken word, "surprise guests" and insight behind the meaning of some of her songs.
