Had the pass been completed Carroll would have been praised for making a gutsy call. Statistics show that this play wouldn't have been picked off being that this was the first INT from the +1 yard line all year. They still would have had two shots with beast mode had it fallen incomplete.
It was simply a better play by the defense. Give credit to the defender and move on with your lives.
I dont think its so much that the play was a pass but more of what pass play they called. Roll Wilson out or throw a fade to the corner, but when you have 9 people in the box because EVERYONE thought they were gonna pound Lynch, the middle of the field isnt exactly the least congested.

The play design was fine. They had man coverage on the outside and went with a quick strike opportunity.

This. Basically, to maximize their chances at scoring, they needed to throw on one of the first two plays they had remaining. If they had run first, and not scored, they would have needed to call time out. The next play would have had to have been a pass, since another stuffed run wouldn't stop the clock and would likely have resulted in time running out before a play could be run on fourth down. Personally, I think they should have gone run-pass-?, but it is what it is. Judging a decision by the outcome is pretty sophomoric; like Jones said, if they score (which almost happened - the window was there, Butler just got an unbelievable break on the ball and Lockette didn't get his hands out), Carroll is hailed as a genius, while Belichick gets destroyed for not using his timeouts and preserving the clock for a New England attempt. As it was, not using the timeouts was a bigger tactical blunder than calling the pass, but it became a moot point after the interception.

This is the only vote if you were there. Thankfully JHOinTN, myself, and I think a few others wandered over to GZA after some 15 minutes of bewilderment.
Throwing was a horrible call, but 3 first rounders for Rg3 put Washington back further than any play in the super bowl could to the Seahawks.
The Eagles may make the same move to get Mariota. And because it's the Eagles and God hates them (and the fanbase, which reluctantly I'm a part of) they're gonna pull it off and it's gonna backfire so fucking horribly and then everyone will forget about RG3 and how terrible an idea that was. Godammit I hate sports.

No way, a team like the browns are going to make a dumb decision like that, you'll be fine.
Its a funny trend when all these bad teams have no quarterbacks, get high draft picks and almost all of the top 10 qbs in drafts are busts.

The real foul was putting Unchained up against GZA performing Liquid Swords. I really wanted to see Liquid Swords in its entirety. Some life choices are hard. Maybe they'll bring GZA back. I did not choose the correct adventure that night
Didn't a bunch of people think it was like a fake booking and that there was actually gonna be some awesome surprise act playing that slot instead? I can't believe you actually missed Liquid Swords, I just feel bad for
I picked Unchained. The Trojan Horse was some history making shit and Unchained was like the exact opposite of history making. They got the shit part right though.

there were a lot of rumors that it was going to be either phish or jack white
