The real foul was putting Unchained up against GZA performing Liquid Swords. I really wanted to see Liquid Swords in its entirety. Some life choices are hard. Maybe they'll bring GZA back. I did not choose the correct adventure that night

Look, obviously they should have handed off on second down.
However, the explanation for the play made sense, three guys didn't execute their jobs on the play, the corner made a great play. A stat going around today said that NFL teams threw 109 passes from the opponents 1 this year; 66 went for TDs, 42 were incomplete, 1 intercepted - it just happened to be the biggest play of the year.
In Carroll's mind, if they ran on second and didn't score, then the pass on third would be predictable. Combine that with the lead receiver getting bumped at the line and not getting the block, the target receiver being outmuscled by the DB, and a throw that could have been better placed (back shoulder?), it was a poorly executed play.
But yes, I would have run it.
I went with RGIII - one of the best things of this NFL season was Jeff Fisher sending out as captains every player picked with a guy from the RGIII trade at Rams-Redskins. Master trolling.
Word. As bad as Pete and Capp Dogg's decisions were, a city didn't get burnt to the ground because of it. That being said, why didn't we burn down something because of Unchained? My vote would have been the fake samosa vendor.
Had the pass been completed Carroll would have been praised for making a gutsy call. Statistics show that this play wouldn't have been picked off being that this was the first INT from the +1 yard line all year. They still would have had two shots with beast mode had it fallen incomplete.
It was simply a better play by the defense. Give credit to the defender and move on with your lives.
