Knowing that the next episode is titled 'Breaking Bad', I'm going to assume it will be prime Saul Goodman telling his side of the story from interactions with Jesse and Walt. We never get to see what he's dealing with from his perspective, only through Walt, Jesse, Skylar, Mike, etc.

Well, that was great. Ofcourse, they used that one scene. Though I love how they made paralels between Saul and Gene. Wonder what they're building towards..
I haven't finished the episode and I'm like how the fuck does Vince Gilligan just knock this straight out of the park everytime. shout out to Bob Odenkirk being such a goddamn good actor too
Is it safe to assume Gene was arguing with Kim on the phone? Or was he having issues trying to get ahold of her? Feels off to have such a major first conversation 'off screen'.
I'm glad we are seeing the Walt/Jesse scenes from Saul's side. Jesse asking about Lalo? Hilarious. I'm now really curious what other scenes they will fill in from his side. Maybe Saul's reaction after Walt's "We are finished when I say we are". I'm glad they won't have such minor roles.
Also, Gene punishing a guy with cancer as a way to punish Walt for screwing up his life? Perfect.
Definitely feels like him going back to cancer guy's house and breaking in will be his undoing or rather what gets him caught. Juxtaposing it with when he first visits Walt at school, which is kind of when he sealed his fate, leads me to believe that next week will be when shit starts to go way downhill for Gene.
She is the ONLY character in the entire Breaking Bad universe that stopped, took stock of the first awful consequence of their "breaking bad" choice, and walked away. And then on top of it, she's the ONLY one who took responsibility for her actions completely and voluntarily (even if it is years later). She's the only one who goes THROUGH it, doesn't bury it.
I love her so much.
I wonder if she and Jimmy will speak when he's extradited to New Mexico, and because they're divorced, will she speak against him in the court of law.
it was more the atmosphere and the camera shots and the Kim of it all that made me love it more than the story (although it did also significantly move the story forward in exciting ways).
like all the little snippets of Kim's Florida life were so well done. LOVED the dukes mayonnaise conversation. even though they ultimately made the wrong decision going with miracle whip, i loved that they treated this normal, boring life kim has as a pleasant thing and not some horrible thing. as you noted in another post she saw the bad breaking and chose to break good, and it was nice to see she carved out a good life for herself, even if ultimately her guilt kept her from enjoying it fully.
the scene with jessie and kim in the rain outside saul's... just wonderful. such a gift. that's really what i wanted when i heard pinkman would be showing up in the show. made me remember why i love that character and the performance so much.

I think Kim's going to be Jimmy's reckoning. Mike and Gus will just continue their thing. Maybe a "flashback" to another Walt-Saul scene in the mix, too. It's like an 80 minute finale so plenty of time for some Breaking Bad ties before wrapping it up.
Also I hope we get one more hit of Kim in her Power Ponytail in the future.

agree it's going to be Saul going down with Kim being his reckoning. the biggest mystery to me is how is Saul going to take it. will he be remorseful, or will he remain spiteful and resentful all the way to the end? he's been cut off from his own feelings for so long it's hard to know how he will react.
i'd also like Kim to return to being a lawyer. not sure if that is an option, but before shit went sideways i think it's a profession that actually brought her a lot of joy. might be too tainted for her now though, or otherwise impossible because of her confession.
Thanks, AMC for your piece of shit app. Has crashed on me for 20 minutes, can't sign in at all. Given a stupid error message when trying to activate it on any other app.

We usually torrent it by downloading it minutes after it's over. Wait til like 10:35 (it's a 90 min slot - more commercials than actual show tonight) and you should be able to get it no problem. Bonus not having to waste your life with all these stupid commercials.

We had issues with the app on the Roku tonight too. Kept getting an “internal server error.” We just had to walk away for a half hour, and it worked when we came back to it.
Did we know/see that Hanks partner Gomez was also killed? Was it mentioned or implied when the Nazis grabbed Hank? Or was that a reveal? I couldn't recall that info.
