Love me some Hot Chip...they haven't played Roo in almost a decade and need a late night - don't think they'd get a Which stage set, though, they'd probably just be in a tent.
Also, saw Sinkane open for !!! and thought they were awesome.
Dude on Inforoo Facebook confirmed Alexis Taylor + More Special Guests through Sinkane.
Ugh. Just when I had talked myself out of the possibility of a Hot Chip add.
Why would you EVER talk yourself out of a Hot Chip add?!?
If we do get Hot Chip, and Dan Snaith hops up with Atomic Bomb! and also does a Daphni set...oh boy! I'd have to bump my rating of the lineup to an 8, or even 9 depending on conflicts!

Because I want it too much to be let down when they don't get added.

Then just go ape shit in the Slayer pit if 'roo royally fucks up, win-win!
Would Hot Chip really get LN which? Or could they do Which right before Mumford? Assuming that's possible, THAT would be awesome. Go MMJ -> Hot Chip -> drink a little -> Atomic Bomb! -> Slayer.... I have wet dreams about nights like that. I could definitely support that Saturday scheduling (no matter how bas the conflicts are)

Why do people keep saying that Snaith would play with Atomic Bomb? Has he ever done that before? Does he have any connection to the project?

I'm not aware of Snaith ever playing with the Atomic Bomb Band, but he has contributed to the Onyeabor cover album under Daphni.
So he's at least a fan of the project. And with the mention of special guests, it is a possibility. A strong one? Probably not, but a possibility none the less.
And if they book 2 Bears over Hot Chip I will cry.

For Hot Chip fans, I have a neat story. My wife and I went on the SS Coachella a few years back, the severely under booked first weekend. On the last night, I was somewhat out of my head and we left whatever show we were at, possibly Girl Talk, and decided to jump in the pool. I was swimming around underwater, closing my eyes and looking at colors, but eventually stopped and struck up a conversation with the only other person in the pool. It ended up being Rob from Hot Chip, and he invited us both into a nearby hot tub with their touring drummer, a woman, and some others to drink champagne. We talked for nearly two hours about music and other stuff (He thought it was pretty neat I grew up in small town Ohio, but still grew up loving bands like the Stone Roses and Primal Scream so much that I'd gotten a Screamadelica tattoo on my wrist). Heck of a fun night - and he was a genuinely nice, unassuming person.

I'd say the possibility isn't really that far fetched. Snaith was featured in the William Onyeabor documentary and samples When The Going Is Smooth & Good in his Daphni track Ye Ye and also plays the song when he DJs, so I'd reckon that the possibility isn't that farfetched, especially since he is also playing his own shit as Caribou, another time.
Hey everyone, I've gotten a few requests from people for me to send them Hot Chip's new album. It's only a 256 rip, but it still plays fine on speakers and sounds pretty fucking good, actually. If anyone wants me to send them a copy, just message me with your email address and I'll send it your way as soon as I can. Furthermore, if anyone sees me post anything in Now Playing that you want to listen to and can't be bothered streaming it or can't find it online anywhere, please feel free to ask me for it and I'll gladly send it to ya.

I'll probably wait for the official final product, but how is the album? I dig huarache lights a lot
So is Hot Chip pretty much out addition wise? Significantly less chatter about them (from what I've read) as of late. It almost seems like a compete miss not to add them though. They have nothing on the books after bonnaroo. They're doing Gov ball right before. Not to mention Alexis Taylor being involved with Atomic Bomb. (Yes, I know he wasn't on the list of confirmed Atomic Bomb guests). If they can afford to bring Childish Gambino back 3 times in a 4 year span, I think Hot Chip is due for another appearance!

They're playing a festival in Instanbul on June 13. They're out.
Yeah I saw that a day after I posted this. Disappointed but I'm satisfied with the lineup enough without them. They would have just been icing on the cake.
Hey chicken4 I totally missed that. I'm fully on board with this new record. I might still be in the honeymoon phase, but I have a feeling I'm gonna be gleefully listening to this album for a very long time. Also, White Wine and Fried Chicken is surprisingly more of an important song than the title would suggest.
