so far it falls off a cliff for me after that. Giving it another listen, but the rest of the tracks feel like they are off an entirely different album. It's like the jam that happens on the end of Gimme All Your Love signals a hard right turn into something different than everything before it.
Based on their set list from Coachella I could reasonably book after Gimme all your love and go check Kacey Musgraves, which would solve a conflict I have. (however with their longer set time I almost bet they do Hold On, which they didn't do for Coachella and if I missed it I would probably hate myself)

You do realize most of their songs are better than Hold On?
Yes, However I happen to like the song. The song is arguably the most recognizable cut from the other album and it was missing from their set list at coachella. I was impressed with the first 3 singles of the first album, liked the opening track. The rest of the new album after track 5 is a dogs breakfast. I just listened to it again on my car speakers which are much better than my work speakers. Shoegaze might be the longest sub 3 minute song I've ever heard.
For me, Sound & Color is incredibly solid from top to bottom. Mumford & Sons should learn a lesson from the Alabama Shakes. This is how you evolve as a band but still maintain your recognizable qualities. Amazing sophomore album! Don't Wanna Fight, Future People, Gimme All Your Love, and The Greatest being some of my favorites.

Little surprised they're just dropping "Hold On" entirely. Seems like their way of saying "We hate that song and we have other songs too you guys", but I don't think getting rid of your best-known song is really necessary. They're pulling a Radiohead with "Creep"...I get that they do have a lot of other great songs and I won't be skipping them either way, but "Hold On" was a giant singalong I was looking forward to.

Are big fans of Radiohead actually disappointed that they don't play Creep live? Or are those that complain about this act like a fan but in reality creep is the only Radiohead song that they know?

I love Creep. I've seen them play it. I would be disappointed if I hadn't. I gotta say I think it takes balls for the Shakes to not play Hold On. I won't be too upset to not hear it. It's not even close to their best song.

I love the new album too haha I don't only know "Hold On" but it was obviously how I discovered them in the first place. As long as they play "Future People" I'm good.
I just really want them to play Goin' to the Party. Also, You Ain't Alone would be greatly enjoyed
You Ain't Alone seems to be pretty regular in their sets, Goin' to the Party hasn't been showing up on any recent setlists but I'd love if they played it
1/30: Cold War Kids
2/6: Cherub
4/22: The Mountain Goats
5/25: Laura Jane Grace "Killing Me Loudly"
5/31: The Decemberists
6/11-6/14: BONNAROO 2015
6/28: Against Me!
6/30: Against Me!
Saw them with Father John Misty last night at an outdoor venue. As others have said, don't miss them at Roo, they're a lot of fun and the new songs all sounded great. I can't wait to hear how they sound on the main stage.
