I live about 40 minutes away and usually go every year but I think I'm going to skip this year. The only bands I really want to see will already be playing at Bonnaroo and the rest I've already seen before.
That being said, in addition to your ticket purchase, you have the option of purchasing a 'The Stand' ticket. They are $25 extra per show but you can get right up in the front, easily right on the barricade where the band will be playing right in front of you. Definitely worth it to get a great view and there's also a private bathroom and bar in that area. I did it last year for Young the Giant and Pretty Lights.
