Does anyone know anything about the VIP Food Program? Like cost, how many meals, what type of food, etc.? I was hoping they would put the info up soon so I could go ahead and decide to spend the money or not, but they don't seem to be in a hurry. Thanks in advance for any info!
Complete rip-off. Don't do it. For 200 bucks you can eat a lot of food in centeroo. You can eat whenever you want and won't have to worry about missing any shows. They have set meal times so if you wanna eat ya might miss something. Some people do like the food though. The same people that think the Thursday night meal is so great. And if your bringing the significant other or whatever that's 400 bucks. 2 people can sample most of the food available in centeroo all weekend with 400 dollars.

I second this. With set meal times, that is a pain to go back and possibly miss a band. I looked at it last year and decided I could spend about a third of that on all the food I want in Centeroo
Wow, I never realised it was so expensive - and it doesn't even include Thursday, or breakfast? Or extended meal times? I hate these lame 'glamping' cash grabs sometimes.
In the heat, I only ever eat one proper meal per day, plus grazing. Not worth the schlep back to VIP, and even if you make all six meals, that still averages out to about $33 a meal. Plenty of options in Centeroo for a third of that.
Agree that it is way too inconvienent and expensive. With the heat and snacks at camp, I usually only eat one real meal a day. On Thursday, it's the buffet, so I love not spending a dime until Friday every year.
This makes absolutely no sense to me. Why would you pay $200 for meals? Meals that you have to go back to the camping area to eat? That's way too expensive and inconvenient. You could just bring your own food and eat in Centeroo and not spend nearly as much as they are asking for here.
Bump, due to email giving details about the 2015 Food Program. As usual, this is not an efficient use of your money. I'd rather spend $33 a meal on different meals from different vendors to be honest. Variety + less expensive = no VIP Food Program. Easy choice.

Last year I brought poptarts for breakfast. Peanut Butter/Jelly sandwiches for lunch and ate 1 meal inside centeroo each day for dinner. For me and the ex boyfriend at the time, I spent less than $100 for both of us inside centeroo doing that. Just saying....

Food is fine, but all you really need are jello shots to get you through the weekend. And don't start talking about drinking any water, that's for chumps and/or party-poopers.

It's crazy but there must be a decent faction of rooers who find benefit in this. With all the planned meals in VIP, do you think they know there is a music festival happening between meals?

We are doing something similar to this. My guy is not bringing a stove (like he originally informed me), but some sort of cooking thing for eggs/pancakes, bacon and coffee in the morning. I am not fun without coffee in the morning. But we are also bringing, trail mix, fruit and PB&J to snack on. Spending all that money on two meals a day is silly. I can eat for less than $20/day at a festival.

Well, that's a good idea!! You'll be fine! I didn't realize last year (my first roo) that the food trucks weren't your normal food trucks. And that the food is amazing. So this year, I'm just bringing poptarts for breakfast and maaaaaybe some snacks for camp for sobering up, maybe. The rest of the food will be inhaled inside centeroo (or conveniently just outside of centeroo where that lovely love peace taco stand was where the employees were dressed up and dancing and they had PINEAPPLES IN ONE OF THE TACOS!!!!!) I still don't plan on spending a ton of money on food, but you never know. My money is better this year so I can afford it.
Also, it should be noted, for coca cola addicts.... THEY DON'T SELL COKE INSIDE CENTEROO, so make sure you've packed enough. Last year I had half a 12pk in my car (what? I happen to carry multiple 12pks of coke in my car JUST IN CASE) and had to make it last all weekend. It was rough.
For drinks, I brought a 30pk of water and 2 18pks of gatorade and we only used about half of each in total for 2 people. I am a water snob so when it came to filling up my camelbak, I used cold water bottles. Just poured them inside my camelbak. I tried the water from the farm and couldn't handle it. So I bought a bigger camelbak this year so hopefully it won't run out.
I was able to walk in with gatorade in my hand each time last year. Not sure if that's normal? It never had gatorade in it though. I bought this pre-bagged liquor and it was amazing and the same color as gatorade so once the gatorade ran out, we filled it with this stuff.... it comes in all kinds of flavors. We took the punch and the long island iced tea flavors last year. Honestly, I drank it and passed out while sitting up at the jack white set. When I finally came to, I was shocked bc I'd never done that before.... you know, passed out while sitting up. It was a proud drunk moment for me.
Should also be noted.. the raz-berita drinks were the perfect drink to take with you on the walk from your camp to the arch. A regular beer was too much and you had to stand around and drink it before throwing it away, where these are slightly smaller and finished up right as we hit the last set of garbage cans before centeroo.

You're not drinking fast enough.
I had a short walk last year. Surprisingly short. But also, you're right man. I could've done better. Maybe this year!!!
