I am a fan and Megan's family are Longhorns, so UT(not Tennessee) is my other team. From my understanding coach Strong is trying to clean house at UT and that takes a lot. It was a shit show in that locker room. Their first practice was in all white helmets. Said they had to earn those horns. Lol!!
Players wete pissed he kicked their friends off the team and this has led to animosity between the older and newer players.
His job is not an easy one and it seems UT fans want a quick fix to a problem that is not easily fixed.
That upset of Oklahoma, was not much of an upset and more on indication of things to come.
Give it time and UT will be national champs.

Not the most exciting part of the season in CFB coming up. Only two teams that could reasonably lose (I know it's CFB, anything can happen) this week that would affect the playoff is Clemson and Utah. I'm still scratching my head at USC being favored for Saturday. They have lost 3 out of the last 4...only wins are ASU and two D-2 schools.

Next week biggest games of the day are ND/Temple and UF/UGA. Gameday already pulled the go to a D-2 school card for this week, my guess is they will be in Philly next week. Glad Florida gets a bye before the UGA game (UGA has one as well)...pretty much decides the SEC East.

Edit: Unless Georgia was to beat UF and then lose to UK the following week. UK two losses this season has been by a combined 8 points. Every game they have played in actually has been a one possession game.

They just did picks on Gameday. Everyone picked Clemson, but they all called for a close game. Really surprising to me when you have a 6th ranked team versus an unranked.

Edit: and they split on USC-Utah. What the fuck?

USC is favored by 3.5

That's a good article for explaining the spread but there's just something inherently wrong about the situation. If you think Utah is a paper tiger, don't rank them so high. Polls are so weird.

So tonight is the only winnable game left for the Beavers, barring a fluke. If they can't beat Colorado, they are easily the worst of the PAC 12.

I'm visiting my sister in Chapel Hill. They're biased against us SEC folk here so I've gotta use ESPN3 to watch AU/Arkansas. I also have to chill in the lobby right now because our room is being cleaned. This game is not exactly going great and a hotel lobby is not a good environment for using my football words

How about those damn Pitt Panthers! 6-1 (4-0), did our part to set up a huge Thursday night showdown with the Tar Heels. Big fake punt around midfield with about 4 minutes left for a first down. Final drive took all 9 plus minutes off the clock after Cuse tied it. It hasn't been pretty but we are bowl eligible in October for the first time since like 2009.

Also, we were trailing 17-13 at the start of the 4th today. We had lost 32 consecutive games that we were trailing at any point in the 4th. Streak over!
