I spent a couple hours scouring line ups for festivals that are popular here on inforoo. I used headliners to fill the 1-9 seeds for each of the 4 regions and then filled in the remaining 28 spots with acts who are booked high on the lineups at multiple fests.
Region 4 credentials 1-AC/DC: Headlining Coachella 2-Mumford & Sons: Headlining Bonnaroo 3-The Black Keys: Headlining Governor's Ball & Bunbury 4-Avett Brothers: Headlining Beale St, Shaky Knees & Bunbury 5-Widespread Panic: Headlining Forecastle & JazzFest 6-Lenny Kravitz: Headlining JazzFest & Beale St 7-Modest Mouse: Headlining Sasquatch. Also appearing at Wayhome, Firefly & Forecastle 8-Sleater-Kinney: Headlining Pitchfork 9-Chance the Rapper: Headlining Pitchfork 10-Hozier: Appearing at Bonnaroo, Beale St, Big Guava, Wayhome & Firefly 11-Flume: Appearing at Bonnaroo, Sasquatch & Governor's Ball 12-Noel Gallaghers H.F.B.: Appearing at Governor's Ball & Shaky Knees 13-Spoon: Appearing at Sasquatch & Hangout 14-Caribou: Appearing at Bonnaroo & Pitchfork 15-Atmosphere: Appearing at Bonnaroo & Bunbury 16-awolnation: Appearing at Bonnaroo & Big Guava
Atmosphere I've never been really into but haven't delved deep. Saw them at Fun Fun Fun for a bit last year and I wasn't into it much. I can appreciate what Oasis did but still haven't listened to Noel solo. He seems like a dick in interviews but so does Mark Kozelek and I love his music. I guess I haven't given Noel a fair chance.

Glad to see Caribou is leading for the moment even if it probably won't last through the week. I didn't appreciate before doing this how lucky we are to have him at Bonnaroo since he's almost entirely doing European fests this summer.
I voted for so many people that are gonna lose this round. Chance and Avetts, specifically. Don't worry guys, I got your back!
Avetts might still have a chance. It seems indies lead early and then during the week the more widely known acts pull in the vote. That said I'm still rooting for Spoon/Sleater-Kinney.

I can understand if atmosphere just isn't your thing but I actually just saw them two nights ago and really enjoyed it. But they're definitely an act that is WAYYY more enjoyable live if you know the lyrics than if you're just a casual listener. But you really should give Noel a good listen, I didn't until the Shaky Knees lineup came out and I find it to be pretty dang good. And yes, Mark Kozelek is a major asshole but his music is great, aside from that painful Modest Mouse cover album, that is.
Poor Hozier..... like the rookie getting beat down by a vet. Doesn't deserve it but has to through it.
False, he sure as hell DOES deserves it. He keeps getting billed SO damn high at every fest and he is so new, those spots should be going to much more established artists. I'd feel bad for him if he was getting billed a bit lower, but I honestly don't see the big difference between him and Alt-J in 2013. Like, is he really THAT huge already?
He's contraversial and very popular. I get you're frustration though. There's always a few newer acts being touted way up there. That's My opinion about Sam Smith.

I completely agree with you on Sam Smith. And it's not that I don't like Hozier, it's just that I don't think one hit off of one album should get you that high on the lineup.

I find Mumford to be terribly boring, but Atmosphere is boring and terrible. Noel Gallagher is a prick, even if his music isn't that bad, and I wouldn't be above fist fighting him after a Bonnaroo Friday-like quantity of beer. Nothing personal, but it would be cool to dip into someone else's conversation someday by saying, "Noel Gallagher? I knocked that jerkstore on his whiny butt once."
