That's hilarious. I have had lots of different types including rattlesnake and ostrich. I was going to add I have had bacon jerky and it was the best flavor ever. I think you got a bad batch.
Ostrich is another one that ate that disappointed me. Also, Gator jerky is alright but there are much tastier ways to eat gator
I think the strangest jerky I have had was squid. A Korean guy gave us some. It was kinda like fish flavored gum.

100% all of this. I think that rattlesnake was the grossest I have tried... very chewy.

Sorry, vegans, but kangaroos make great leather for soccer shoes (football boots if you aren't American) and baseball gloves. Never had a chance to eat one, though I presume they taste like chicken, or at least someone will say they do.
I lived in Australia for five months and I ate some kangaroo the second day I was there on a pizza.
It was weird.
That's weird even for us. For those not in the know, kangaroo tastes a lot like venison. You ever heard of venison pizza? Kangaroo steaks, burgers, shishkebabs, stews - not the norm, but you can find them - but most of us draw the line somewhere.
Another popular one is the kangaroo sausage sandwich - or as well call it, the kanga banga sanga (bonus points if it's a ranga).
