What does "decided on his own terms" mean? I need a translation.
Probably just them saying that there was nothing they could do to prevent it. Also maybe a nod to it being sudden/without reason/against terms of the contract

I looked at their Facebook. It's nice to know that Bonnaroo doesn't hold the patent on people with ridiculous opinions on Kanye and a promoter's to force acts to play at a festival.
Kanye West was announced as FYF Fest’s replacement headliner on Thursday evening. Despite having less than 48 hours of prep time, the Chicago rapper pulled out all the stops.
Most notably, Kanye gave fans a surprise performance of “FourFiveSeconds” with accompaniment from Rihanna. The performance appeared to be impromptu, as Rihanna was watching from the audience when he handed her the microphone. She did eventually hop up on stage to finish the song and also join Kanye for “All of the Lights”.
Travi$ Scott also made a surprise appearance to perform “Antidote” and “Upper Echelon”.
Kanye also gave a nod to the festival’s original headliner Frank Ocean with a rendition of “No Church in the Wild”, their collaboration from Watch the Throne.
I just saw that Rihanna came out with Kanye. If I wasn't jealous of this fest before, I'm soooo jealous now. This is on the list of fests I need to make it to one day.
