This is derailing the thread, but do you have a moving date yet? I might be in Minneapolis for an event on August 18th.
i swear somebody else on this board lives up in minneapolis
oh and it's 75 with 44% humidity here and gorgeous out, have fun in 109 smellycat
Oh I know! I didn't forget about you or anyone else. It's not official yet, so I am waiting until it is. I was just wondering if she'd still be there... I have to attend a "handful" of 18 receptions and Minneapolis is one of the choices.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

There was a funnel cloud less than a half mile from where my girlfriend lives. There did end up being a small tornado, but a couple towns over. Not sure if it was the funnel cloud that went near her, or another one spotted a couple miles to the north.
Temperatures here are finally cooling off as hot season comes to an end.. but that means rainy season is fast approaching. Trying to mentally prepare for 4ish months of nothing but wetness, flooding, and bugs.

I know rain is a necessity, but I really don't like being outside in it. It saps some of the fun out of going to shows/festivals, especially if I'm not prepared for it.
If there's a 20% chance of rain some day during NFF, it's really more like 90. Because rain will move in oddball directions to come swing into Newport during that weekend. On Friday, Jim James once again summoned the rain - and a storm dived south-southeast (unusual for this area) from Worcester/NE Conn/Providence to come hit Newport.

So here in Good ole TN. Its really hot. Like The heat index is supposed to be 107* with the actual temp at like 92* and 60% humidity. But yeah, we are really over the Freaking heat right? Screw the weather. Did i mention its been Piss pouring About every day too? Yeah.

It was odd, but that has 100% to do with Jim and nothing to do with what Mother Nature wants

I dedicate this quote from Deadspin's Viking preview to smellycat.
"If you want to really piss off a Minnesotan, make a comment about cold winter weather in your city. Minnesotans believe they have a patent on cold weather, and will sue you to the fullest extent of the law should you make such comments. “Oh, it snowed 4 feet there yesterday? Well, in Minnesota, we don’t even plow when it snows 4 feet. Oh, it was 2 degrees for a high there? Well, in Minnesota, we wear jorts, flip flops, and tank tops and go fishing for walleye in 2 degrees. No one is as hearty as we Minnesotans! Kneel before our heartiness!” Yet, when it came time to build a new stadium, they joined Detroit and insisted on an indoor stadium, so Frojid from Forest Lake could sit and stuff lutefisk nuggets and Grain Belt into his face in a nice warm 80 degree stadium."

I'm originally from Hancock, Michigan. Which was voted snowiest city east of the Mississippi in some Internet poll (so it has to be true.) I think we share that patent. On the other hand, I GTFO, and now I'm in South Carolina where the dry heat has murdered my grass this summer.
