Short answer: you need to look up the actual dimensions of the tent, because an 8 person tent (meaning 3-4 normal people who aren't all in one big, weird plural relationship or immediate family, or 8 hobbits) is probably going to be pushing it.
For a better answer, do some poking around here, especially in That Tent, because this type of question is asked and answered about 75 times every spring. You'll also find all sorts of other useful info about campsites and whatnot. Somewhere there is a mention of carpoolers being allotted extra space, but you may end up being at the mercy of relatively untrained volunteers who are told that one car equals one spot. Inforoo really is a goldmine of information, and the stickies can be pretty priceless.

I really want to buy an 8 person tent as its not that much more expensive than a 6 person tent and we could all sleep a lot more comfortably. I just don't want to get there and not be able to have it fit. Everybody in my group wants an 8 person tent and I wasn't that worried about it until my friend didn't think it was going to work. She doesn't want to inconvenience the people camping next to us which is totally fair. Do you guys think we could make it work? I'm just frustrated because most people with four people have two cars and I'm sure we could all fit an 8 person tent if we had two plots of land but we don't We also have an EZ up but don't mind putting part of it over top of the tent. What do you guys think?
Yo! two smaller tents will make for a much better roo, unless it is 4 girls, really need 2 tents. Yes put ez up over a tent move when needed. Grab as much space as you can asap
Any ideas for power? Just for our basic things like cell phones and what not?
For phone charging I recommend checking out Anker phone chargers. They're really well priced on Amazon right now and you should still be able to order and receive it with enough to time to fully charge it before you leave.

Are there any restrictions on generator size? We were thinking of bringing one this year and I didn't want to hall it all the way to Manchester just to be told I was not allowed to bring it in.
