Round 2 observations:
All four #1 seeds advance again: The Who, Elton John, Paul McCartney, AC/DC are going strong. Two out of three #2 seeds advance again: Mumford and Sons was knocked out by Modest Mouse. Both #3 seeds advance again: Kendrick Lamar and The Black Keys live to fight another round. Two out of three #4 seeds advance again: Pixies very narrowly lost to the Strokes in Round 2. One out of three #5 seeds advances again: Robert Plant and Foo Fighters are going home. Our only #6 seed advances again: Snoop Dogg won again but next round will be be the underdogg. One of two #7 seeds advances again: Tame Impala fell to Jack White in second round. Both remaining #8 seeds are eliminated: alt-J and Sleater-Kinney are no more for this year's tournament.
Only 3/28 undercard competitors remain (TV on the Radio, St. Vincent and Spoon). In Round 2, all four Headliner vs. Undercard matchups resulted in wins for the Headliner. The 3 remaining advance from wins over other undercard opponents. This round will showcase one Undercard vs. Undercard matchup (10-TV on the Radio vs. 11-St. Vincent) and one Headliner vs. Undercard battle (1-AC/DC vs. 13-Spoon).
Five out of sixteen Round 2 matchups were decided by 10 votes or less. Two of these were by just 5 votes or fewer: 2-Jack White over 7-Tame Impala: 28-24 5-The Strokes over 4-Pixies: 27-24
Four out of the original 20 Bonnaroo artists remain. (2-Billy Joel, 3-Kendrick Lamar, 4-My Morning Jacket and 13-Spoon) The four which exited in Round 2 were 2-Mumford & Sons, 5-Robert Plant, 11-Florence & the Machine and 11-Flume.
Wow...AC/DC tied with Spoon. Didn't see that one coming. To be honest even though I said before I wouldn't be surprised if Snoop could upset Billy Joel I really am now that I'm actually seeing it happen. Cinder-izzle.

Recent voter totals suggest there are only a few people who still haven't cast their votes for this week's matchups but those couple votes could be enough to swing or settle a couple of these extremely close contests. Get your picks in or finalized before Sunday night.
