No thats a terrible route. Go to Indy via I 70 and get on 65 S to Nashville and pick up I 24 to Manchester. Easy! We are driving from Bloomington/Martinsville area.
Actually 41 is your better route. Get on I-24 just after Hopkinsville, KY and it should be less than 6 hours - about the same as from Indy so the 1.5 hrs from Terre Haute to Indy would be extra and unnecessary.
