there is a craft fair happening the same weekend as landmark. some friends of ours are selling their work, along with lots of artists who do the big craft fair here each year. my bf and his friends were vendors at the fair last year, and said it was nice. we might try to stop by before the festival on one of the days, if anyone is interested. www.washingtoncitypaper.com/craftybastards/

Speaking of my name, Union Market (where this takes place) is a great place for wandering/snacking/drinking. The Red Apron serves my namesake meatball sub.
We had a DC trip booked before we heard anything about this festival, so this is a pleasant bonus! We grabbed Sunday passes and they arrived yesterday. Here is a pic for those curious:

at first glance, it seems like this setup will work pretty well with my schedule. i wonder how crowded it's actually going to be, and how that will be affected by one entrance and two water stations (i'm a freak about having plenty of water). i suppose it can't be worse than made in america in august with one water station.
I'm curious about how many attendees to expect. Any guesses?
No idea. But the amount of advertising and the fact they still haven't sold out "early bird" passes makes me think it won't be too crowded.
I bought the $100 super early bird thinking I'd have no problem getting that much for it if I couldn't go. Right now tickets are going for $90 on stubhub.

I'm not surprised - it's the same weekend as Global Citizen and Boston Calling, and all three are in relatively close proximity to each other.

Very sad about this. Agreed though that it is still a great selection.
