Just bought my ticket. $100 for a two day festival with that mid-tier and undercard? Yes please. I'm hoping the schedule doesn't pit too many of the great acts against each other though.
I fucked up badly last year at Roo by missing CHVRCHES, so they were what really sold me on this. But Alt-J, Ben Howard, Chromeo, Band of Horses, War on Drugs, Lord Huron, and Daughter certainly helped too.

Full price tickets will be $200, so even if I end up decided I'd rather sit home and pick my butt instead of seeing Drake again, it should be easy to get my money back.
$100 is a steal. Especially when tickets are planned to go up to $200 eventually. I would expect at $200 a few additions have to be in store?
Plus it's pretty cool that it takes place on the national mall.
It doesn't take place on the mall exactly, West Potomac Park is on Haynes Pointe, which is south of what people consider "the mall" (although connected and still technically the mall).

Precisely my reasoning. even if I end up not being in town/free that weekend, shouldn't be hard at all to sell it at face value to a friend or something.

It seems like my reasoning was the same as the rest of you. Saw this on twitter like 7 minutes ago, and now I have a ticket. Didn't even know who besides the Strokes and Chvrches was on the lineup and don't care...
Haha yep, pretty much saw CHURCHES, Ben Howard, and Alt-J in the top lines, with that $100 price tag, and immediately found myself at the purchase page.

Yeah, I'm in for this one too. That $100 "first-in" price was just too good (and no added fees!). A lot of gems in this lineup, and I've been waiting to see Chvrches again since Firefly '13.
oh man, this looks awesome for $100. i want so much to just buy a ticket, but i might be in town the previous weekend for spx and couldn't pull off both.
Strokes alt-j Band of Horses George Ezra Lord Huron Houndmouth Daughter The Hunts
Chvrches Ben Howard Chromeo The War on Drugs Nate Ruess The Kills Twin Shadow The Lone Bellow Dr John The Mowglis
All of the above are draws for me. Top tier are bands I really want to see. Second tier are bands I've seen a few times but still like or just wouldn't mind catching at a festival.
Not bad for $100. Plus in a cool location.

gonna talk to the bf and see how he feels about two weekends in a row. i might pull the trigger and just sell it later if we can't go for whatever reason.

Knowing the current price would end up being half price made me do it. I'm in, even though I haven't even told the family members for whom I just bought tickets.

You probably already know them but check out Avers (if you don't). They've been making a regional splash as of late and I think up your alley. I know it's a Head And The Heart side project ( I wanna say the drummer) and really good live.
