Please don't hate me for asking about internet on the Farm. I am taking summer courses online and my professor has an exam that is available and due on June 12th (he hates fun). I need to figure out if I can take the exam at Roo. No it isn't ideal, but at least I'll be at at Roo and not in the library.
Honestly it can be pretty hit or miss. If you have to take it at peak usage times, you might be in trouble. If you're able to take it early in the morning, or some other off-peak time, it could be doable.
Is the test timed? Because if so, that would give me pause. You might start it, have your connection drop, and not be able to finish it.
What phone service do you have? I believe ATT has put up mobile boosting stations the past few years, and it had definitely helped.

Inside centeroo, I could send texts but making phone calls was not an option for me.
In the campgrounds, I was able to post on facebook, instagram, text, make phone calls, etc. No problem.

Thanks for the info! I think I'll have to contact my prof and make other arrangements if possible. If it gets down to it, I have ATT so I could take it on my phone. Yay school...

you're better than I was, last year I was in the midst of studying for the CPA exam but did zero studying over bonnaroo, and I was even staying in a hotel. i respect your dedication though.
what software are you using? how far along in the process are you? i finished up this past December, its a really amazing feeling to be done.

I use Becker because we got it free through work, but I accent it with the Ninja flash cards. I'm only really beginning, I took and passed audit (easy because it's what I do every day) and am taking BEC this monday. After Monday I immediately am focusing on REG and really getting into let's get this done mode...hoping for my work bonus for passing the CPA within the first two years of being here

great job passing AUD! yeah i'm primarily an auditor as well, so that was the easiest for me ("easy" being relative though). Sounds like you have the study ethic to make it happen. best of luck to you, keep us updated in the "yay" thread on your progress.
