Same. First and only time I got to see Broken Social Scene... But hey at least they aren't holding this in South Street Seaport again. That was such a cluster; and only $25 for SFA is great.
I'm seriously considering it. If I can find cheap transportation, I may just come up for the day. I haven't seen SFA in years (Rings Around The World tour) and they were amazing live. Mikal Cronin was one of the best shows I saw a few years ago and Twin Peaks just slayed.
Curious to see the TBA acts to make a decision. They are charging for this, right?

Yeah it's only $25 though. $50 for VIP (but that doesn't sound worth it at all). If you are coming from VA, I would honestly drive up to NJ, park in Harrison, and take the PATH up into the city. That would probably be the cheapest way of getting here.

A few years ago I was going back and forth non-stop. Greyhound was $20 round trip and direct from DC. I'm hoping I can find a deal like that (or Megabus). Just gotta be patient.
$25 isn't bad at all. Totally worth it for the bands they've announced thus far.

Yeah if you can get a bus trip for $20; def jump on that haha.
Whop whop. Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks and Screaming Females added.
With my family moving and trying to get the house for sale, there's no way I can make it. Have fun, Launchpad. That's a hell of a lineup for the price.
Thats awesome news. Never seen Stephen Malkmus surprisingly. Dig him though, Pavement is one of my all time favorite bands. Excitement for this show just shot up.
Really looking forward to this. Coming up from philly mainly to see SFA - they've been one of my favorite bands for the past 5+ years and knew I couldn't pass up this opportunity, especially since there's no guarantee they'll come back to do more shows in NA. Other acts are the icing on the cake.
Seeing Death Grips in philly the night before so it's going to be one hell of a weekend.
I was checking out some recent setlists, seems like Malkmus has been closing his sets lately with a Pavement cover. If he plays Summer Babe or Stereo tomorrow I am going to lose it.
Bummer you missed Mikal Cronin, that was my favorite set of the day behind SFA (how epic was that show?).
Every band member in Twin Peaks was clearly VERY fucked up. One of the members looked like he was going to vomit the entire time. I was kind of impressed at how well they were playing given their state though.
All in all very cool fest. I sort of prefer the new setting and ticket price compared to last years free installment at South Street Seaport. Paying a little bit of money for a great atmosphere was entirely worth it.
Then there was this year's VIP boat (which you could buy tickets for this year), a big party cruise ship that many people never left either. One member of early performers Surfbort left the boat, though -- by jumping off it and into the questionable waters of the Hudson. Once he got out of the water, he was ejected from the festival. Though he tried to get back in wearing a variety of different outfits, and it apparently worked?
Yeah I'm bummed I missed out on Mikal Cronin and Screaming Females - my girlfriend and I were planning to get to the fest for the beginning of Screaming Females' set but our plans changed a bunch of times throughout the day. Really fun day of music overall though, hoping to come back next year.
About to dive into that bv article you posted, should be entertaining. Comments section should be gold per usual
