I would love to see Tribe, Brian Wilson doing Pet Sounds, Jeff Lynne's ELO, Black Mountain, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Bully, Sigur Ros, Underworld, Ride or Sixto Rodriguez on the lineup. I'm very pleased with the three names we already know and if one of these I've listed is on the bill, I'm going to be even happier.

I'd say Bully are very likely.
Sigur Ros are confirmed not being there unfortunately
Probably a decent chance of Brian Wilson, seems right up Roo's alley. I would go nuts if we get Tribe or ELO

Bully may be less likely due to them playing Forecastle.

Ellie Goulding | The Chemical Brothers | Jeff Lynne's ELO | Tame Impala Major Lazer | Modest Mouse | Chance the Rapper & The Social Experiment | Umphrey's McGee | CHVRCHES G-Eazy | Superjam ft. John Mayer & Friends | Foals | Zedd | HAIM | Lettuce | Darryl Hall & John Oats | Shpongle (Simon Posford DJ set)
Several acts I'd like to see crossover from Coachella:
Sufjan Stevens M83 The Kills Foals 2manydjs Robert Delong Bob Moses A$AP Rocky CHVRCHES James Bay The Arcs Silversun Pickups Beach House Rancid Miike Snow Matt and Kim Cold War Kids Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats Deafheaven Alessia Cara The Heavy Meg Myers
They usually have a random genre get its own tent (not counting the Bluegrass Sunday). There has been a metal tent, world music tent, and others. I hope we either get a jazz tent or a Chicago rap tent for a day. It would be easy enough to book with all the talent available.
Esperanza Spalding, Kamasi Washington, Thundercat, BadBadNotGood, GoGo Penguin, Snarky Puppy would be some names that I would look for in that Jazz tent. I don't know how popular it would be and I'm sure I'm forgetting soem really good names.
I only know one Battles song but I love the hell out of it.
Get on 'em, they put on an amazing live show.
I'd probably go Mirrored, then Gloss Drop, then their newest La Di Da Di. Gives you a feel for how they've progressed.
And I have to be honest, if I had to guess only one song that someone knew and loved from Battles, I'd never guess Bad Trails!
I was going to say the same...odd song choice to be the only one you know. I agree though that all 3 albums are great and show a good evolution in their music...my personal preference is La Di Da Di because I like that they dropped the vocals completely and just just with the instrumentals...

I found a lot of music watching the UK series Skins, which is where I heard that Battles song. I'm listening to Mirrored from the beginning now and loving it.
Biggest undercard hopefuls for me. Jeff Lynne's ELO Ryan Adams A Tribe Called Quest ft The Roots Judas Preist Joey Bada$$ Young Fathers Chic ft Nile Rogers Sufjan Stevens Bob Moses Dead Weather

Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

when you finish Mirrored, just continue on thru Gloss Drop and La Di Da Di, personally, I think they get better with each album.
They are a must see for me anytime. I saw them most recently in October right after releasing their newest album, and fully expect them on the lineup this year; if not....ANGER
Why... have I never listened to this album before...??? Wtf me?
I know, right? With your love of Animal Collective, I knew there was no way you wouldn't be into Battles too.
Mirrored is the only album where they're a four piece. Before the second album, Gloss Drop, the guy who does the vocals left. Gloss Drop features guest vocals from several people, and their newest La Di Da Di is instrumental.
But my God, are they good live! Watching them loop and create the sounds they do is jaw dropping to me.

I was thinking of Animal Collective as I'm listening to this! I'm only a few songs into the album but god, this is fantastic. Can't wait to get to the other albums later tonight.
I know I posted about it back in December (don't want to go find the post) but Battles has come to Bonnaroo the immediate Roo after an album release making 2016 a return year. Plus they are on tour in Europe this Spring with nothing set for Summer and I don't believe they played much if any festivals before the album release last summer.
