What I really don't get is everyone's hatred for the Lumineers yet Of Monsters and Men seem to be on every wishlist
I like the Lumineers and thought they were pretty great at Roo in 2013. There are certainly much worse options that can be booked
For what it's worth, I enjoy OM&M too.
The thing about The Lumineers is that their most popular song, Hey Ho, is lyrically uninspired and instrumentally simplistic garbage. I will take most of Mumford catalog over that dribble.
(Ho!) I've been trying to do it right (Hey!) I've been living a lonely life (Ho!) I've been sleeping here instead (Hey!) I've been sleeping in my bed, (Ho!) Sleeping in my bed (Hey!)

Deep stuff
To be fair, that is really the only song on that album that uses that formula.
Huey Lewis & the News for the legacy act playing state fairs and shitty casinos that gets a prime Which stage slot in 2016.
somewhere recently we were talking about not appreciating the difficulty in crafting a pop song. When it comes to great pop songwriting its hard to beat "Sports".
Totally serious, my Mom saw Huey Lewis & The News at a casino a couple years ago and said they were awesome. She talked about the show for months.
I think they'd do great in the Tears For Fears slot.

I saw Huey Lewis & the News for freeeeeee at Universal Studios and it was pretty good. It'd be a decent get for the nostalgia act. Certainly not the best, but not a bad option
I really hope Coheed and Cambria are on the farm next year.
I dug a couple of their albums several years ago, would definitely catch them at Bonnaroo barring serious conflicts. Where do you think they would be scheduled?

Second to last on Which pre-LN maybe. The spot Gary Clark Jr. played this year

They closed a tent last time. Don't think they're even bigger now?

They closed the metal tent on Sunday in 09 and their popularity has faded quite a bit. I would say a day time tent like Between the Buried & Me would be a fair placement. I would definitely catch them though, they were one of my favorite bands in High School. I wore Second Stage Turbine Blade out when I was younger. Last time at Bonnaroo they played some cool covers too, like Red Rain, Under the Milky Way, and Can't Find My Way Back Home to name a few. I went nuts when they played Red Rain, Peter Gabriel is my absolute favorite.
Rightfully so. A while back, I watched a video of their set from North Sea Jazz Festival in 2012. I was sold about 15 minutes into the show. And given the number of high-profile musicians Nile Rodgers has worked with in the past, there would be potential for some great collaborations on the superjam.

They booked Chic at OSL in 2013, and I'm pretty sure they tried hard to make em happen at Roo in 14
If I have my facts right, Chic was booked to replace D'Angelo, who had to cancel his OSL appearance unexpectedly. With the new album expected to arrive in the near future, 2016 is actually looking quite probable (provided they tour the new album).

Don't fuck with me on this.

I woulda bet my house on Bonnaroo nabbing Chic after they turned up at OSL last year. Any chance that still might happen?

We tried. They couldn't make it work in their schedule. - AC

Serious question: How would people feel about Diana Ross as the older legend act? I know it's not likely, but I think she would be a great fit in either the Lionel Richie spot from 2014 or the Beach Boys spot from 2012. She was also initially rumored for this year's Sunday legend spot at Glastonbury, so it would be impressive if Roo could steal some of Glasto's thunder and book her first.

So aside from a few of these(Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Talking Heads and Bowie), I could see any variation of some of these acts play next year for Roo's 15th anniversary. I posted this list in reddit.

I don't know about you, but I for one always look forward to eclecticmusicdude89 generously sharing his infinite wisdom with the rest of Inforoo. I would be completely lost without him.
