I'm not one to create threads, but the way Roo and our Inforoo family has touched me this year deserves some attention.
I wasn't sure coming in this year was even the right thing to do, considering the fact that my husband had just started making strides in his brain injury recovery. He insisted that I make the trip, and the overwhelming amount of love you guys showed me at brunch brings me to tears. The concern you all shared for his situation deeply touched me and I love you all immensely.
After brunch, I received a call from him that was less than comforting; the people we are renting from want to sell the house we are unwilling to negotiate a new lease, even with increased rent. I tried my best to put the situation I faced upon returning home in the back of my mind and still had a fantastic weekend. I focused on spreading joy and love to those around me and allowed myself to receive in kind.
Today, we stopped by to talk to our landlady and the situation had not changed. We took down numbers for cleaners, etc. and left the office knowing we needed to find a place in the next two weeks. Being moving season, we opted to check out our options through his duty station and there was a huge four bedroom townhouse available as early as today! For those that do not know military housing wait lists, it is not uncommon at all to wait 6+ months for a home, and we will get to make a seamless transition.
Here's the true magic: After signing the acceptance offer, I caught the name of our new house's area--Sunflower Neighborhood. A huge smile spread over my face and I couldn't help but feel like I had been looked out for in a major way.
I hope you all have an amazing year as these magical moments that tie you back to the Farm work through your lives, and I'll see you next year!

Awww I had no idea that was happening and I was with you a lot of the time!! Your positivity is truly contagious and I've loved getting to know you the past two years. Obviously this was meant to happen, given the name of the neighborhood!
