That's great! I only saw them once, nearly 30 years ago, and I think about that show a lot. They were so good and it was such a fun time. The way Chuck Cleaver's smile during the instrumental breaks alternated between mischievous and pure joy is forever etched in my brain.

Oh, man. I miss Ass Ponys. Wussy is very good, but I love those Ass Ponys songs so much more. Are you from Cincinnati, or did you catch them elsewhere?

1) Ani DiFranco (17) 2) Dave Matthews Band (11) 3) Barenaked Ladies (8) 4) My Morning Jacket, Pearl Jam, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Great Big Sea, Goo Goo Dolls, Living Colour (7) 10) Brandi Carlile, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Widespread Panic, moe. (6)
Honestly, Ani DiFranco, Barenaked Ladies, Great Big Sea, Goo Goo Dolls, and Living Colour are all missing shows and would skew a bit higher.
Also, Ani DiFranco, Barenaked Ladies, Goo Goo Dolls, and Great Big Sea could be used for tell me you grew up in Buffalo without telling me you grew up in Buffalo. The only thing missing is the Tragically Hip.
Most seen songs:
1) All Along the Watchtower (Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, Phil Lesh & Friends, Bob Dylan, Neil Young & Booker T and the MG's) 2) Anticipate (Ani DiFranco) 3) Cradle and All (Ani DiFranco) 4) Give It Away (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bonnaroo Superjam) 4) Mahgeetah (My Morning Jacket) 4) My IQ (Ani DiFranco) 4) Off The Record (My Morning Jacket) 4) One Big Holiday (My Morning Jacket) 4) Tripping Billies (Dave Matthews Band) 4) Two Step (Dave Matthews Band)
Phish--24 Pearl Jam--20 (17 since quarantine!) Against Me!--20 DMB--17 Modest Mouse--16 Cage the Elephant--16 Saw MMJ 7 times in 2023, after my first show at the end of 2022. Hoping to see them at least 8-10 times next year and slide them into this list.
Cage the Elephant 4 Skrillex 4 Diplo/Major Lazer 4 LCD Soundsystem 3 Fidlar 3 Flogging Molly 3 Purity Ring 3 (4 in November) The Devil Wears Prada 3
I think those are the only major acts I've seen 3+ times? I know there's some local-ish bands I've seen a bunch more, like KGL 15+ times and CBDB 10+. I've also seen a shitton of Warped Tour bands twice, but I think TDWP is the only triple
Cage the Elephant 4 Skrillex 4 Diplo/Major Lazer 4 LCD Soundsystem 4 Phish 4 Purity Ring 4 Fidlar 3 Flogging Molly 3 Griz 3 A Day To Remember 3 The Devil Wears Prada 3 Korn 3 Portugal. the Man 3 My Morning Jacket 3 Pretty Lights 3 Phantogram 3 Umphrey's McGee 3 Turnstile 3 Anti-Flag 3 Clutch 3
Knocked Loose, King Gizz, and Metallica will all be joining this list by the end of the year, and one of Diplo/PL/Cage will probably be my first to hit 5
Edit: Flaming Lips at 3 now, and the bonnaroo schedule shook out that all 3 I mentioned should hit 5 within a few hours of each other. Isn't that neat!
Drive-By Truckers x7 Foo Fighters x5 (x6 if you count the mini-set they did afternoon of hangout 2011) Gov't Mule x6 MMJ x6 Phish x65 x72 The Revivalists x9 Trey Anastasio x5 Trombone Shorty x5 Umphrey's McGee x14 Widespread Panic x16

I just saw Umphrey's for the first time last month. I'm not sure what took me so long.

worth noting that in high school my most seen band was Limp Bizkit. I saw them four times between 1996-2000. at one point i thought they were the future of music. i try to remind myself of that whenever i start to think i know something about music.
I have an extra ticket to their show at Oak Mountain on August 9 if you wanna relive your glory days
