Don't bring that weak ass Bon Jovi bullshit. If you think it's atrocious, how about some backup? Here' some help
Tipper - was told by multiple people he was great at Counterpoint, but you know he'll be terrible at Imagine, right? GRiZ - Maybe the worst sax player in a few generations, right? Lil John - He raps worse than the Carpenters Datsik - Never ever fun at his sets Ill Gates usually gets booed off the stage Papadosio - I don't know why they even play anymore Crystal Method - Been sucking since the 90's Zoogma - They should go back to Cow Tipping and stop and playing hard over hip hop Shpongle - Should get the DDT instead of the DMT Pretty Lights Music Corporation - I had to walk out of the show after 3 hours it was so bad last time I saw them play
Thank you kindly - except you won't ever see me bringing that kind of chump shit to this place. Clearly you aren't immune. Maybe substance over Facebook might help?
LMAO. No. Yours was the kind of comment you see from young teenagers on Facebook regarding festivals where they don't know anyone. "Zoh My God! This is the worst lineup evAr." So if someone says, "Wow, what an atrocious lineup", and if it's a quality poster, you'd usually hope they'd give an indication as to why they think that. I'm not going (probably would try to go a day if I lived in Atlanta) and I don't really give a fuck otherwise. But you'd like to see people bring more to a discussion if they have something to say.
^ And if that doesn't make sense, perhaps it's the stroke and Alzheimer's doing the talking.

I for one sit around waiting for Larry Farnsworth to come in to each individual festival thread to weigh in on the lineup. I just wish every single poster on the boards would do the same. That would be great to wade through and a fun read. Keep it up Larry Farnsworth!
FWIW, upon clicking this thread and seeing that that was the lineup being discussed, I was prepared to assert some comments almost identical to what Larry Farnsworth wrote. But he's already done the dirty work, so I'll just leave it as is.
Though I think justinmn9319 really ought to bring in that soundcloud track of Lil Jon's DJ sets. Talent like that needs to spread across all corners of the earth!!!!!!!
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Do you really want me to go into depth as to why this bland melange of undercooked and overexposed Parry's/Sahara/Ultra/EDC style EDM is terrible? Do you want me to talk about how pretty much each and every act on here is disposable, boring, and generally makes terrible music? Should I pontificate at length about how this lineup completely embodies the "hair metal" phase of electronic music we are currently living through, or how they managed to somehow stack this lineup with retread EDM fest filler acts and bottom-of-the-barrel wookiEDM stalwarts like Griz? Or should I just state for the record that "Papadosio" might very well be the single worst name for a musical act ever, and leave it at that?

That's up to you. If you could have put that out there initially, "Hey, this is a bland mélange of undercooked and overexposed Parry's/Sahara/Ultra/EDC style EDM" lineup that I wouldn't pay a dime to see", it at least says more than "This lineup is atrocious." Similarly, "this embodies the 'hair metal' era of electronica" says a lot more too. I'm not going to dis anyone for their opinions though I may or may not disagree. In any event, the only thing I really disagree with you on is that I don't see GRiZ as bottom of the barrel wookEDM. I see him as a funk producer and excellent saxophonist, and the 4 or 5 times I've seen him, his sets have been great. A personal favorite was a live set with 6 members of Preservation Hall Jazz Band and some female vocalists/harmonizers. I think his album Say It Loud is near the top of 2015 releases and is a pretty big departure from the generic. I'd also like to see Tipper. I have mixed opinions on EDM. I see a lot of sets, but I walk away from plenty of them too if it's just some same old b.s. of whatever sub-genre.
I'll be honest, I don't have a real opinion overall of this festival. But it's kind of refreshing watching Inforoo (mainly juggernaut I guess) tear this festival apart. Because this festival is getting so overhyped locally. It's gotten to the point where it's kind of annoying.

As someone who lives in Atlanta and hangs out with people who go to shows/fest I know 1 person talking about Imagine.

Yeah maybe it's just the people I'm around and see on my Facebook. They do have a lot of Facebook "likes" though. That probably doesn't matter or mean anything, but they have more than Counterpoint and Music Midtown. I also saw a billboard for it as I was leaving Bonnaroo. It just seems like they're doing a lot to promote this festival.
No reports on the fest? I know about 10 people who went over to Atlanta this weekend, but I only talked briefly to one of them. He said it was pretty fun - nothing earth shattering but a good time.
He told me that Dada Life was pretty comedic and funny. He said the music wasn't all that but they were pretty humorous. I don't know anything about them. I heard Tipper was really good again. I heard GRiZ was good and he did a DJ afterparty set where he only played about 2 of his songs. So he was supposedly just having fun DJing that night. Ill.Gates was supposedly good (did a back to back with someone). And there was some other afterparty show with Crizzly vs. 12th Planet vs. someone else (Ill.Gates?) that he told me was a big party and cheap. If I run into anyone else who went, I'll try to get some other takes.
