I just read that the lead singer for Wilco is going in rehab for painkiller addiction and their album is being pushed back from early to later June, but also will be questionable to play both the big indiie fest in california next month and Bonnaroo the following month. Here is the link to the page.

this is horrible news. wilco was one of the bands i was looking forward to the most. i saw them about a week after bonnaroo last year with sonic youth and it was unbelievable.

yeah if you have ever seen i am trying to break your heart he talks about his migraine problems and how they make him increadibly sick. it says the rehab is for the meds he takes to cure the migranes. so hopefully he will alright.
I really hope Jeff will have things pulled together by then. They really are amazing live, and definitely one of the reasons I decided to give Bonnaroo a try! Their new lineup with Nels Cline on guitar, and Pat Sansone (The Autumn Defense) as the multi-instrumentalist should really flesh out the sound and take them to a new level.
Their new album (A Ghost Is Born) is another amazing release, and I'm eager to hear the material live. For those who haven't heard it, Tweedy's guitar is out in full force and a few songs really go off into Neil Youngish "epic" territory. Needless to say though, they haven't lost their knack for perfect pop/melody, and that stuff is properly represented on AGIB also.
Let's hope Jeff kicks the pain killers before 'roo!
Where can I get the new album? I know it doesn't come out till June, but I'd love to hear the new songs before bonnaroo. Where did you guys get it from?
YEAAAA! Wilco is gonna play. They cancelled thier first 8 dates(poor coachella fools). Bonnaroo is good to go. Anyone else gonna go see them at the Pittsburg arts and music fest? It's the weekend before Roo and it's FREE!
As far as I can tell they haven't released the schedule yet for the arts fest. Last year Wilco, Sonic Youth, Little Feat, and Maceo Parker played. They all usually play on different days though. I only know Wilco's playing cause it's on their tour page. Sorry I didn't answer your question sooner, (I was in Cleveland for work).
