Cannot believe how big this thing has become. Remember first tour when you could by resale pit tickets for $50 and I had to sell a pair of seats right by the stage to the Worchester show for $19? I do. Prices are crazy right now. SPAC was packed bigger than anything I have seen there. I've never been to a Phish run there but was told by many that this rivaled it. Seemed like a LOT of youngsters. I may sound like "old man, get off my lawn" but I hope someone is teaching these kids how to act in the scene. It didn't seem like it. That said, last night at SPAC was awesome. The set list was cool because it had some stuff I hadn't seen recently and although the boys were not at top form, it still rocked. The China > Rider sammich second set was interesting. First time I have seen a disjointed China > Rider. But the fact that it started pouring out of nowhere a minute into Looks Like Rain still is giving me chills. It was a special moment and I'm not going to lie, I teared up. Then the huge rainbow during Saint. "Got to be heaven 'cause here's where the rainbow ends". It was perfect. Our shuttle bus was an hour late from camp to the show so we got to Shakedown super late and walked in to the venue half way through Hell in a Bucket. We could not get close all night which sucks at SPAC. My sister in lawn did get down to the front of the lawn towards the end but we just stayed up top instead of fighting the crowd and steep slope about 12-14 beers in to the day. Already counting down the days till Blossom. Will I be seeing anyone next Wednesday?
Just listened to the second set of SPAC. First thing I've listened to from this tour.
Transition from China Cat to Deal felt a little wonky, but Deal itself was phenomenal. Reminded me of the Sugaree at night 2 of Fenway last year with that big climactic jam.
Like everyone's been saying, Oteil slays China Doll. Fucking beautiful. John's playing on that too.
The massive singalong on Terrapin sounded pretty magical.
A handful of hopes for Citi (mostly because I haven't seen them yet):
China Doll Sugar Magnolia U.S. Blues Ship Of Fools St. Stephen Uncle John's Band Morning Dew
But my real longshot hope is for them to finally bust out Weather Report Suite. It's one of my underrated faves, and I've always been confused as to why it lasted so short in the Dead's repertoire. C'mon Bobby.

I've been thinking about going to Blossum. I'm traveling for work in Akron and just realized that Blossum is close when I saw an exit for Cuyahoga Falls driving. Just not sure any co-workers would go for it.
Going to Camden on Sunday and the weather looks really good. I think that everyone who went to those first shows just convinced two friends to come with them the next time and so on and so forth. We have a group of at least 12 people going this year and my friends in other cities are the same. Also have multiple friends traveling to the Chicago shows.
From the web site. What happened to my 11/19 Buffalo date?

My only hope now is Columbus because it is a Saturday but that is not super likely. Some talk there may be dates added as a couple people in the know still swear the 11/19 Buffalo date is happening which would please me.
I've already got a full car load of friends for the New Orleans date. Anyone know what pricing will be like? Can't find any info.
Can't find any prices yet but I'd guess $45 for the cheap seats, $65 for the next level, $99 for best seats and back of floor $135 pits (all plus fees of course and only guesses).
I'd also be down for a meetup at one of the MSG shows if anyone here's going. Don't have many deadhead friends so there's a decent chance I'll be going solo
I've never been to a show at the TD Garden...what's the deal with it?
In my experience it's pretty standard for an arena. Obviously not amazing, but it's fine. Not sure where your seats are. I've never been in the upper balcony so I can't speak to that, but loge and floor sears have always been pretty solid for me and I've never had an issue with bad sound there. Seeing one of Dispatch's shows there on their 2011 tour remains one of my best concert experiences.

You've never been in the balcony there? That's genuinely shocking.

I think I've only seen 6 or 7 shows there and almost all of them were with my dad who would refuse to go to arena shows if he had to sit in the balcony. I've had a fair share of balcony shows in the NYC arenas though

Seems like a pretty good deal for you.
I've seen most of the shows I've been to from up there. Sound is actually great, but it is quite far away. I go to a lot of Celtics games too so I'm used to it.

The club section right above the loges is good too.
Only time I had less than stellar sound at the TD Garden was during the Saint Pablo show last fall, but that was more due to Kanye's soundguy rather than the venue.
