all of the AmEx pre-sale for Detroit are in the same corner section in the nose bleed. and don't seem like very good seats... I'm going to test my luck on Saturday in the General On-Sale to see if I can get something better.
I got a "sorry, you're waitlisted" e-mail for Columbus last night. Got a code at 8:27am this morning. Right at 10 I went on to try to get pits and all they had were balcony seats in the rear. Didn't end up with any.
Got the code for NOLA, saw pits were $150 before fees and passed. Got front row center of the 300s for $100 each with the 3D tickets, VERY happy with this.
So somehow I missed the second date announcement until now. I was gonna play it by ear Friday because I usually work Friday nights, but I can definitely make the Sunday show, so I'm thinking about buying some loge seats. I'm kindof short, so I like the idea of being elevated. Was also contemplating Floor D Row 2 Seats. I figure I did floor at Fenway both nights, so maybe I should change up the angle...but at the same time the seats are the same price.

What would you guys do?
Floor D Row 2 Loge 22 Row 7 Loge 12 Row 3
I don't know anything about TD Garden, I've never been there, I'm just looking at the section layout on TM.
Having said that, I typically don't like seats on the floor, especially when you are behind the soundboard like sec D. The seats are almost always tiny and uncomfortable, and if someone is blocking your view you are stuck. Love a GA standing room only floor, just not seats.
If I were you I'd go with the the 22 row 7, gets you a little more off the floor but you'll still be close enough to the stage to see whats going on. 12 row 3 would be cool too though.
My sister-in-law who has gone to all Dead related shows with me since I brought her to Fare thee Well is in Philly tonight for her first show without me. Feeling major bummed. Going to watch the stream and plot ways to get in to Boston.

Is there are a free steam somewhere or are you paying 25 bones to nugs for this?

Show was great we were in the upper section and had a great view. Favorite parts were West LA Fadeaway -> Let it Grow and Deal -> Eyes of the World. I know it sounds cliche but I really do think they get better everytime I see them.
I'm not a huge Dead fan and was mostly there because my girlfriend and her mom are, but Deal was one of my happiest concert moments of this year. It had such good energy to it and I couldn't stop smiling.

That is probably the highlight song for this version of the Dead
Man, the song is fun, but I still can’t deal with Mayer on vocals.
They've really gotta let Oteil handle more songs. I watched a livestream of the first MSG show and he and Mayer split vocals on Ship of Fools but his voice just fit so much better

I see what you did there. I don't mind Mayer's vocals at all. I love JRAD but I like Mayer much better than Tom Hamilton. Maybe it's because I have seen them live so many times. I don't know. Otiel would be great on a few songs. Bobby sounds better than ever but an Otiel Stella Blue would be great.
Mayer makes the panties drop, don't lose sight of what this is all about. At the ATL show this summer there was a group of girls near us before the show valley girling hard af about John Mayer and how he's a great guy for letting the Dead play with him.
