mattlikesrock Never asked how the Reverb thing worked out and if you enjoyed the show.
My wife's grandmother passed away somewhat unexpectedly a couple of days before and the funeral was that day so I didn't get to go. So bummed, for several reasons.
This St. Louis show is shaping up to be one of my favorites. They just keep getting better. More jammy, more spacey, tighter so that they can go out there and bring it back in quick. Sugaree and Eyes were phenomenal.
You think? It was the only show I went to of the tour, so I can't really compare. It was great, but I didn't love the set list or the closing song I feel like other cities got better set lists (for me anyway).

The vibe in Nashville was such that I felt the band was giving us more. After that show, I picked up a ticket to STL. STL was not bad by any means, it was just not as much "we love you so we're playing our asses off for you tonight" that I felt in Nashville. Plus living in Nashville, that show was special to me.

Yep it did feel like they were having a blast and it was great energy for sure. I think I have become spoiled by living here......

Everybody in the headliner thread seems to think they're coming to Roo this year. There's no way I can pull off Roo this year, so what other festivals seems likely this point?
Anything in June or July is pretty much out for me. If they play the whole summer, they would have to play Lockn...right?

Doesn't mean they will be there, but The Dead guys have a history with Outside Lands and it is a local fest for them.

Towards the end of the chat Munter asked, “when will fans get to see more Dead & Company and RatDog in the future?” Weir responded, “soon come, there will be plenty of both in the future” and clarified “both RatDog and Dead & Company.” He went on talk about the current Dead & Company moniker, “I’m pushing to change the name to DeadCo because it’s a lot easier to say.” Bobby added about Dead & Company, or should we say DeadCo, “we had enough fun on that last tour to see every clear indication that we oughta chase that muse.”
Maybe someone in here knows the answer to this....I am heading on a business trip to Silicon Valley in a few weeks. Going to do the whole Haight/Ashbury walk around on Monday when I arrive, see "The Dead House", check out a few other Dead related things. Planning to go to Terrapin Crossroads at least once. How often does Phil play there? I know him and his sons will just sit in during evening bar room shows occasionally but I'm not sure if occasionally is once a week, once a month or a couple times a year.
Summer Tour release date is 2/5 per Grateful Dean.
I also scored tickets to the Terrapin Station 2/9 Mardi Grad party with Lebo, Chimenti, Jay Lane, Stu Allen and of course Phil! Pretty pumped for that one. Also seeing Jorma Kaukonen on 2/11 at Sweetwater so a Bobby sit in is almost guaranteed.
Yeah, they have even said they are playing shows. It's just a question of where. And Grateful Dean is usually pretty good so we should know next week if not earlier. Almost went to the DCU show but couldnt score a decent ticket last minute. Albany-Philly-Buffalo was great. Hope they are a few roadtrip shows away, a home show and Peach Fest. That'd be amazing.

That is the same list that has been floating around for months that originated on a Phish message board. It is fake. Grateful Dean said it is fake. There are already bands booked at a couple of those venues on those nights. A couple of the venues are way too small and the routing is wrong.
For example, Bryan Adams is booked 7/21 at FirstMerit Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island.
Stage AE in Pittsburgh maxes out at 5,000 people and that is pushing their limits.

Actually Stage AE was the reason I didn't believe the list to begin with. Both Consol and First Niagara have open dates on 7/25. Stage AE (while I prefer it as a venue) would almost make that ticket impossible to get but what an intimate great show that would be.
Dead and Co. Facebook page posted a picture with the caption "Patience....". I messaged Grateful Dean to see if that meant they were delaying the release and he said he still expects it tomorrow unless something drastically changed.
