Has anyone had luck breaking the black clamp? I just got festiclips and i dont wanna ruin the wristband just get that black part off. If anyone can help, please do. Thanks!
Do you need help taking it off your wrist? Or is it already removed and you just want to remove the plastic clip?
If you need help taking it off, get a plastic bag. Put your hand inside the bag, and slip the plastic bag between your wrist and the wristband. Now just peel back the plastic bag and your wristband will come with it.
If you just need to get the plastic off, just smash it with a hammer. A hammer isn't going to hurt the fabric wristband.

I do the twist trick. You pull and twist above the clasp, which gradually moves the clasp down without ripping or damaging the wristband. I can't remember if that worked with the bonnaroo wristband, but I know it worked with BUKU and Voodoo's.

That doesn't work with the Bonnaroo wristbands because they use an actual clasp as opposed to the circular "teeth" clasp.
I take mine off my wrist with pliers. As in I use pliers to open the clasp. This year it was on loose enough that I just squeezed it over my hands. But yea, if you're trying to just get the clasp off the wristband when it's already off your wrist then a hammer is just fine. I've never done the bag trick, I'll have to keep it in mind for my ACL wrsitband this year.

I am 99.9% sure that I was able to slide my Bonnaroo wristband off, which is why I couldn't remember if that trick worked. ACL if you get the wristband wet, and you pull on it gently it will loosen enough to slide off. I know this because my festie bestie put mine on so tight in 2013 that I had to constantly pull on it to loosen it. I was bitching at her all weekend, but by Saturday I was able to slip it off, but still gave her shit regardless. #truefriendship
I just use a pair of pliers while wristband is still on me to crack the black plastic clasp. Doesn't take long most years. Sometimes you gotta bring in like, a pair of dikes, to cut some of the plastic away to have better access, but it's easy.
