Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Because it's the offseason and Inforoo loves to rank shit--Give me your top 5 or 10 shows all time at Roo that were NOT on What, Which, This, That, or the Other.
Here's ten that come to my mind:
1. Ryan Montbleau Band 2. Grey Season 3. X Ambassadors 4. The Orwells 5. Cayucas 6. Dark Waves 7. Simo 8. Future Thieves 9. Houndmouth 10. Wake Owl
uh Raury. That's the only show I've seen on one of the smaller stages
You must have been toward the front of the Who. I got there late and the sound was for shit in the back.
Yeah I was, the sound on the first song made me cringe. But the rest of the show was spectacular. I also saw him at Buku, but his show at Bonnaroo blew that one out of the water. Me and my friend weren't sure if anything would be able to live up to that experience for the rest of the night. But then The Growlers happened

While at unlocking the truth, my friend decided she needed to get back in the fountain which eventually amounted to several hours in the Roo medi tent getting fixed up. Missed most of UTT, then iceage, and one or two others i was excited about. Made it back in time for rubblebucket to start at who, a show we said we couldn't miss. I danced my ass off at rubblebucket for both of us, it was a really fun show
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Jill Andrews in Cafe Where Skinny Lister in Cafe Where Deervana on Sonic Stage Monster Truck in the Troo Music Lounge The Rubens at Ford Theater Henry Butler & the Game Band at the 2008 VIP Dinner
Diarrhea Planet in the Miller Lounge was ridiculous (2014). There were as many people in the air as there were on the ground, and about 3x as many as the tent should allow.
Nikki Bluhm and the Gramblers on the Sonic Stage (2013). Their sound fit perfectly with that smaller venue, and they killed it.

I remember Orgone being a blast on both Sonic and at Troo lounge in '10. Gary Clark Jr was a shot of energy at Troo Lounge in '11 even though the fest screwed that stage's setup that year. Punch Brothers at The Grind last year was good. Devil Makes Three was a fun way to start the morning at the lounge in '10. Justin Townes Earle at the lounge between Beasties and Phish at my first Roo was fun. I've seen lots of good shows there. I would have liked to have made more stops at Sonic Stage when bands were still doing an extra set other than their tent or stage performance there.
Both of my favorite small sets were at the Sonic Stage. Julia Nunes in 2010 was a soul saver after the Conan Debacle at both the Comedy Theatre and Cinema Tent on Saturday. I really hope she can return some day, and her new crowd funded album is on track to make some moves. The other would be in 2012 formerly We Are Augustines (now just the latter) just killed it on The Sonic. I was there with JHOinTN and I'm pretty sure she would agree. Just wish my camera was better so my photos turned out better!
1. Cloney..nuff said 2. X ambassadors - so much louder and more entertaining than album 3. Elle King - amazing voice 4. Raury - sound wasn't great but he killed it on stage. 5. Vintage Trouble - got the crowd into the show.
