It seems like vote switches are commonly viewed as negative in this game. I am a townie who is clueless as to who everyone else is and is trying to generate some conversation. You should at least consider that as truth while viewing my vote switches this game so far.

It does generate conversation - but it'd be foolish to think that conversation isn't going to turn towards you since you're the one making the moves.

I have - it was the game that JFG reffed (radiate suspiciousivity?). I played terribly, trying to skate through and laying low.
It's fine that conversation turns to me if I'm making moves but I think that I was placed in the rundown by Sleepy for no real reason at all; especially when SFA's original vote for me was only reciprocating my original vote.
I get that someone has to die on Day 1, and the chances of getting a mafia are low, so if it's me, that's fine, I'll take it. I just want to be clear with my actions so that fellow townies can look back on it and use it to piece together the story.

I don't really think I'm pointing fingers much. It's a day one vote. I moved my vote to widen the runoff, and then when nobody talked for like 10 hours or so I moved it again to put someone else in the runoff. I have no idea whether LD, JR, or Rothric is mafia but I thought it weird that they voted in a triangle.
Not very comfortable how quiet everyone is being. Makes me think that the mafia are very satisfied with how this runoff turned out.
Yeah, maybe. Or they like the direction it was heading. I wonder what the stats on the mafia squeaking out of 3/4 way Round 1 runoffs? Billy was able to do it last game and draw no real attention to himself.

Not particularly, no. The other two who had an open vote really quickly voted and it made it seem like I took a long time. I didn't.

Haha. I can appreciate that, but I don't rush vote unless I'm stuck on someone. I tend to only stick to the personal code of voting with at least twelve hours in the round so people can debate my move if needed.

sure, that's all well and good, but consider sometimes 8 of those 12 hours most people are sleeping. I'm not saying your wrong in doing this, but expect people to come at you a little bit when you do.

And agreed on Boner's above point. Some people have wildly different active times here, especially since Sleepy's cuddling with a kangaroo half the time.

Yeah, nothing to really do about it now. Sometimes things just combine to make a round incredible quite. It's hard to justify more vote switches when there is not even idle chatter to go off of.

I've been busy with work again. I haven't checked in for like 24 hours. I was expecting to come back to, "WTF JR?" and mafia to have won. Instead, just some light chatter.
I'm going to switch my vote just to see something happen, several days left to move things around.

This move doesn't make sense to me. Are you thinking ahead at all? We had two people, Jaz and Phi, who had to decide between two people - Jaz would decide between me and Rothric (assuming he wouldn't vote for himself), and then Phi would vote for EAP and then choose between Jaz and whomever Jaz didn't pick between me and Rothric. In the chance that Phi voted first, he could still make Jaz pick if he voted for Jaz.
But now, you've given Jaz an out to cast an easy vote on Rothric to even it back out, and only Phi has to make a choice.
Just my opinion, but I don't think this is helpful for the town.

I think forcing the Jaz voters to all have to vote again in a runoff between Potent and Rothric would have been the best for gathering info. At least there wouldn't be self-preservation to hide behind. Meh.
