Yeah. I don't really know what to do with their silence right now. I've played with both of them enough though to know that they can be quiet as town. Also can be quiet as Mafia. Bleh. For now:

Yeah no good call, I was hoping I'd get lynched Day 1 outright with the majority of people voting for me saying "Not sure and no reason but eh, taint!"
It's silly to me to get upset about people voting for you for no reason in round one. What reason do you expect anyone to have? Someone is going to get lynched. And the only "argument" I've seen you put up is, "I'm town." Which is about as good as saying "Not sure and no reason." And it kind of has to be because there aren't any real arguments to make at this point as best I can tell.
Having said that, it does seem out of the ordinary to me for there to be a three-three-three runoff and the two remaining voters to both vote for the same person. Not sure what to make of Rummy's suggestion that she's trying to see how people react because it seems to me that when you do something and then expressly say you are doing it to see how people react, both the doing and the saying affect the reactions. For my part, if you tell me you are doing something to get a reaction, it makes me want to not react.

I agree. But I had two people attack me within five mins for the same thing. Seemed better to just go ahead and explain my initial rationale - despite the fact that now it has kinda ruined that thought I had. Oh well.

Read my post above. Sometimes people make plays in this game to see what others will do in reaction. That's a tactic, you know.
I would agree but the tone of last game and the start of this game seems to be for all to do as little as possible. There was a good chance we would have headed into the second runoff without a single vote change that wasn't forced by a round end.
Notice I am also helping with your tactic by not changing my vote.

Sure partially, but of course part of it is to figure out what you are doing as well. I assume most of us are trying to figure out what everyone else is doing.
Okay but really I'm here, if you've got anything more to question me on go ahead and shoot. It's not like I was gonna disappear for the whole weekend.
I'm mainly seeing the vote switch at the end of round 2 at this point. I can't say if potent was saving NBF or not or what he was doing but it was interesting at the end of round 2 nontheless. I was intrigued when carini didn't mention Jimmys name after we proceeded to round 3, though not enough to move my vote right now but that can change over the weekend.

Just checking in. I guess I'll say what I usually do and point out the silence seems to indicate the mafia are fine with how Round one is shaping up. At least I would assume?
Besides that nobody has made any moves that really stick out. A couple things have struck me odd but nothing I can really point to and make a solid move from.

At this point I would prefer to have Jimmy in the runoff with me if I have to be in the runoff. Not getting much feeling towards Tainted at this point and something about Jimmy is drawing me towards him with how he got taken pretty far out of the votes this round and the rhetoric of some people like carini not mentioning him in their voting decisions. Without something definitive to go off of I'm going to move my vote in the direction I'm feeling.
Could I request the tally/log be formatted as below? I find it helpful to have the people voting for someone to be listed after the person they're voting for. Breaking the Vote Log up into the separate rounds is helpful too. It also might be easiest to just refer to NothingbutDoctorNikolasVanHelsing as simply NBF. Thanks.

Regarding the game itself, I really don't have a reason to move my vote off Farris at this point. Nothing about Tainted or Jimmy seems suspicious enough to warrant me moving my vote at this point.
Farris will vote for Tainted, so I want to see where Potent puts a potentially deciding vote.
Makes sense, you get to simultaneously avoid making an actual decision while implicating potent (presumably) regardless of who he chooses.
If I had voted for you, Potent's vote would then give us no information. And if Potent had voted first, he'd have to vote for Farris as well or my vote would give us no information. We'd be in the same position except with Potent instead of me. I have no stake in whether you or Farris get voted out, so yea - if one of you is a Mafia and I were to end up with the deciding vote in voting out a townie, I don't want that being used against me later in the game, since at this point I know nothing about either of your roles. So I took the safer route.

It was a tossup, but I think Tainted reacted a little too strongly to Jaz' vote, and when I'm about to flip a coin that gut feeling of mine is good as any reason to vote one way or the other.

Settled down and reading this over. Too little discussion for my liking, not that I did much to encourage more. What's really weird to me is that the people in the final runoff haven't had much of substance to say either but that's partly the town's fault. uggg

Not sure how wise a late vote switch is but something about all this is nagging me. Enough where I'd rather shake up a rather boring game then come to regret not doing something later. Not that I really think Farris is anymore guilty. It's more a matter of who I'd rather vote along with. Two
For one, Potent's post are really not setting well with me. Especially his given reason for voting for Jimmy in the last runoff. Then the weird back and forth he's had with one or two others.
I also feel voting along with some of the other runoff survivors is a better place to have my vote. As I highly doubt both of them could be mafia, so I can have some peace of mine knowing they have no agenda.
