We watched a few clips from Middleands last night. I saw where Big Gigantic brought out Gramatik and covered some Grizmatik. And then the Snails set looked kind of fun. I liked the main stage and light installations on it. We caught a little bit of GRiZ where he stopped his set so the cherry picker could get someone down from a tree. Looks like the neighbors were in an uproar, and they arrested 42. Y'all have a good time?

Big g and phantogram totally stole the show Friday. Sarah was bringing it but hands down the best big g set I've ever seen. I'd even say it was better then griz the next day but fuck that tree dude for breaking up his set.
i have the worst luck with fucking Lupe Fiasco. Supposed to see him tonight and he had some kind of scheduling conflict all of the sudden and its postponed til July.
Though the upside is cmack will be in town then so he can come.

Phantogram surprised me at Coachella which was better than I had ever seen them. Also, Big G is so hit and miss now. I remember the Waka 2015 set was ridiculous and ended up getting Top 1 set for me that weekend despite the best STS9 and Umphrey's sets I had ever seen up to that point. Other times it's like formulaic b.s. When they are good, they are one of the best partying acts ever. When they are normal, it's just generic. The part we saw where they covered that GrizMatiK tune was great and looked like an excellent time particularly as compared to the Coachella live stream which was wimpy to me.

I'm getting more excited for pheonix and I am happy to knock them off my bucket list bc I have been wanting to see them for quite some time. Just had my heart set on frank since nov. so it was hard to accept. With that said I'll be dancing my ass off in VIP at pheonix on Friday but damn sure will be playing FO all weekend at the condo/beach in memorial.
Chalk it up to the hangout curse running strong. 2014: chance the rapper 2015: lupe fiasco, sam smith 2016: Calvin Harris 2017: frank ocean

Heck yeah! Jamel is killing it at the Hangout Restaurant tonight! Pretty sure I got tickets sold. Can't believe I lucked up and got to see him tonight. Fantastic!
me either, but for different reasons. I'm a believer in location, location, location. I aim at staying within a 5 minute walk and just make trips to my own "cash bar" when I need a cold adult beverage or a bite to eat.I haven't spent a dime inside the fest gates for anything other than loyalty tickets in years. I'm not quite sure how I'm going to handle the whole VIP thing, but I'm sure Sarah will help.
I can't wait to see y'alls reactions when you walk into the Grove for the first time! Mimosa and Krispy Kreme doughnut? Don't mind if I do!
We had grove access one year and it was great. Loved the snack bar and how the concierge desk had everything from Hawaiian leis to mini containers of gold bond! 😂 And you can't beat having your water bottle filled with a mixed drink before heading to the next show.

Definitely looking forward to that, but more than anything, I'm going to appreciate not having to stand in the long lines on the hot pavement waiting to see if the security dude/dudette is any good at going to 2nd base. Honestly, a good feel up or a bad grope can make or break one's day.
