They just had a Gulf Shores Restaurant (and apparently Orange beach as well) called Flying Harpoon on Food Paradise for their crab and crawfish cakes. They claim to be the only real po-boys for 189 miles (to here). I looked at the menu which was mostly super casual and relatively cheap. They have lots of good reviews. You have probably been there before, but that was cool to see.
14.99 paid to nugs for the Lettuce Rage Rocks live tonight from Red Rocks with Ghostface, George Porter Jr, Marcus King, Cyril Neville and Scofield. Can't wait for that later tonight
I'm debating that. Should be amazing. There is a free stream of Everyone Orchestra with members of Pigeons, Twiddle, Dopapod, moe., etc etc so I will probably just stick to that. Opening band on now, Everyone Orchestra at 10:30 EST.
Fire. I try to hold that live stream thread down on the root directory of music lounge as much as I can, but I miss way more than I see. If you catch wind of some good jam streams please hit that thread up.
Turkuaz is playing now, and jamming pretty hard. We saw them 2 weeks ago open for moe. I like when they break into the more virtuoso shit to be sure. Psyched for Lettuce though. Fucking George Porter Jr., Cyril and Ghostface. \funk/
Edit to say it's Nigel Hall, Krasno, Coomes, Benny Bloom, Zoidis, Smirnoff and Neal Evans. No guests yet, just proof of how a 'mid carder' band can pack Red Rocks. So good too.

Happy Mother's Day! Everyone go love on your mama so she will forgive you for partying your ass off this weekend!
Motherless children have a hard time when their mother is gone (Hawkwind version probably brought many out of "acute psychosis" over the years. Happy one to you as well!
My son lost his mom at four. Very tough. Mother's Day became our get out of town weekend. Going to Church was awful that day. We learned to deal with it. He has turned out to be a young man I very proud of.

We used to stay on E2nd and they were doing the one way traffic thing back then, so I'm pretty sure this is standard now. Getting to preparty should'nt be any different.

Having just returned from Phoenix, everyone should be thanking Frank for dropping out. Coming in I was mildly interested in them at best, but they put on one hell of a live show.

Oh shit. it's cool. I lost my mom a while back, but that song was playing when I was reading your post and was singing along. My bad. It was Hawkwind friends and relations (Dave Brock) covering that old spiritual

Went to Friday of Shaky Knees and saw nine bands. Said hey to about 10 inforoosters in passing, and saw several shows with some old college friends I hadn't seen in awhile. Great festival, and great day. Wish I could have gone the other two days.
We leave for Hangout on Thursday as soon as I get off work. See you soon!
