It's going to rain later in the week. There will be some severe storms near the weekend near the Gulf that aren't showing up yet on the U.S. Generated Model (GFS). There doesn't look to be any kind of all day washouts, but a front attached to an upper low will come through. The main question is whether or not the severe storms are all north of the Gulf as they usually are.

Like I said, I'm not opposed to going Friday and Saturday evening/nights but I'm heading out on vacation the following weekend. I don't have anyone off that can drive me back to Pensacola after the festival, and most of my children's friends that are traveling this weekend are going to Tipper & Friends. But, I'm not completely ruling out showing up. If the stream schedule is to my liking, I'll probably just do that, go see the free Cracker show on Saturday and then Sigur Ros on Sunday.
Back from Shaky Knees. Don't have too much to offer as far as reviews of Hangout artists because a lot of the crossover I'm going to see at Hangout and there were other things at Shaky Knees I could see at the time. I saw Warpaint, as previously pointed out they didn't play Elephants but I still enjoyed the show. Nothing amazing though. It'll probably come down to your taste in music but I think Chance will put on a better show. I caught the end of Lewis Del Mar. Once again, very solid but not my favorite of the weekend by any means. I had planned seeing Phoenix but I had to drive back to TN and be at work today so I'm saving them for hangout. Glad to hear the reviews are good though. I also heard good things about Bishop Briggs' show.
The new directive that requires all stuff left on the beach after dark might be a problem for the after parties. I wouldn't be surprised if they use that law to impound the DJ sound system. You might want to ask before the po po shows up and hauls it off. Usually I ask for forgiveness afterwards but, in this case, some expensive sound equipment might get picked up.

It was setup in the middle of the beach on one of those concrete barriers. . I am assuming the cops just break it up and usually peaceful minds prevail.
