Hey meriako. I'm here at the Saenger in awe and taking a swig for you and the family because I know. Anyone who went to 21 Pilots rightfully deserves a chainsaw.
Weather doesn't look good for a significant part of the day. Looks like a break til about 11:00, then an hour or two of light rain, and then another hour or two flood. I think they called the show for wind and rain last night vice lightning. That tells me it is likely the same will happen this afternoon. I'm going to wait it out.
Well, Bob, think weather was a bit better than what we had for Rock on the Range. Weather held off most of day until about 2/3 thru Volbeat set when they cleared the stage for incoming bad weather (Volbeat last band to play before Metallica). About 20 mins later it hit. Heavy rain with thunder, etc. I held out till 9 PM & some more thunder came in & I bailed.
Hope Metallica did go on at some point for some amount of time, as there were alot of people there dying to see them & this might have been their only vacay of year. For me, worst weather & worst fest (only due to the crappy weather) that I've ever experienced in 7 years on the Tour. Have had some good luck, so I'm philosophical about it. Hope Franz killed it like I would assume they would. Hope all get home safely!
Mumford killed it to close. Franz did too. Great weekend. See ya next year Hangout. None of the things that happened were the festivals fault if we are being honest. Fuck Frank Ocean. Fuck DJ Snake. Fuck the weather. None of those things Hangout could control other than not booking shitty, unreliable acts. Great job again Hangout. No I don't work for them. Ha. Just thought I'd share how I felt about it.

That was a fantastic weekend. So smooth for us. Crowds didn't seem big or annoying despite the fact that they were still young. Every show I saw met or exceeded expectations and I saw everyone I wanted to see. Damn. Good job Hangout. Can't freakin wait for next year.

Glad to hear everyone that went enjoyed themselves given all the issues out of Hangout's control. Hoping some Sigur Ros and RKS clips pop up on youtube, even if Sigur's set was cut short. I know they put in a new screen with some new lighting fixtures in the tent so I could see Sigur's show being set up to be sick.

I enjoyed all the sets I attended with the exception of the harassment/pulled plug at Sigur Ros and the lack of Elephants at Warpaint. Everything else was top notch!

Sitting at Cracker Barrel north of Montgomery reflecting on the past couple weeks. I really enjoyed all the friends and the festival exceeded my expectations. Throw in Sturgill, Jamell, Shaggy J, copious seafood, Infooroo pre-party, and I am feeling very blessed this morning. Mumford was awesome. Ditto Weezer, Head and the Heart, Jimmy Lumpkin, Franz, BOH, Mutemath, and a few others. Got my money's worth and picked up some snapper, grouper, and shrimp for grilling at home

Had a great time at Hangout thIs year! Despite misgivings about the lineup there was plenty of great music to hear (Mondo Cozmo, Band of Horses, Franz Ferdinand, Suffers, Weezer, White Reaper, Chance, etc etc), but the highlight for me was meeting and hanging with some fellow board members, all of whom made this lurker feel welcome. See y'all next year!
I think Local Natives were against RKS which sucks. I would ev seen RKS if I was there as well but those are 2 bands I would ev been looking forward to.
