Pardison Fontaine shaking hands and hamming it up with about twenty fans in raincoats. Pretty cool. It has started sprinkling. Pardison trying to get a show off. Good for him.
Major lazer saved the festival yesterday. Bless you.
LOL. The festival that Major Lazer saves will be one that I'm pretty far away from. They have literally become the cliche of everything that sucks about EDM. Their average fan is probably 15 or 16. I'm glad you still like them, but after gutting through some of that dismal Coachella set, I don't ever need to see them again as long as I live. How was Jillionaire by himself in the tent, because I still like him solo enough.
While I tend to agree. I think any show that the performers bring it during the rain is exceptional. There's just some magic about it. It brings back seeing the dead weather while performing "Will there be enough water" at jazz fest several years ago in the pouring down rain.
That said, ML is garbage. Which is a shame because I can get into some of diplos other stuff.
Some sixteen year old got hammered in the VIP security line right in front of me. Looked like syringes or something in medic packaging. Slammed him and cuffed him. Stupid kid actually shouted back at officer. Hello Baldwin County jail. Sherriff Deputy asked me if I was with him. "Hell no". You can go. His girlfriend should have kept walking. Now she going away with him.
The west VIP entrance was filled with GA kids trying to bring in full containers of liquid, metal flasks amongst other items. Held the line up!
I'm downloading app on last day. Probably not a lot of help. You and I had better handle on weather last night. They closed the grove about 8:30 and told me they were evacuating at 9:15....they knew. Too many times HOMF could communicate critical information and avoid headaches and hazards but failed.
I think if I can get in restaurant at 11:00, I'm good for awhile. Shaggy may be soggy. Lightning or high winds...please make the call in time to get 45,000 people safe. Rain, play on.
Going light today. Swim trunks all the way. See y'all soon.
We were in the grove getting drinks after Major Lazer but you could tell they were cleaning up and trying to get people out.
Great to meet up with Sparky Sarah, Beach Bob, and others (too many beers to remember names right now) at Strand of Oaks. Really enjoyed the show! They rocked. The lead guitar player was amazing.
