"There are millions of people who eat McDonald's too. It' still pretty disgusting. Then again, if you're eating off a garbage pile, it's probably gourmet"
This from the "squishy fish" eating guy.
Squishy fish? Sushi? Don't ever even barely cook my tuna or salmon. That shit is best raw all the way, and hopefully sliced straight off the fish. And yeah, even if I was solely a carnivore or vegetarian, I wouldn't be eating at McDonald's if you paid. That's just me. I don't have anything personal against fast food and do eat it occasionally. But McDonald's is down with high school cafeteria food on my hierarchy of shit I want to eat. To each their own. There's a reason that people eat McDonald's, drink Bud Light (which I know you don't like that either) and go see shows like Lil Yachty or whatever. In our modern society, popular never really directly correlates with quality though.
Man it was great meeting and smoking a few doobs with Doug Benson at the Lil Yatchy show at surf stage VIP. That guy fucks. Then hanging with him again at chance.
I had to look him up. I'm glad you weren't one of the 200!
I have seen Yachty a couple of times. I don't think he's a good rapper, and he doesn't think he is either. But he's got popularity. Nobody's going to confuse him with Chuck D or RZA.
Looks like 200 arrests this year - 171 in and around the grounds (about 70 or so inside the fest) and 29 in Orange Beach. Pwnd. Come to south Alabama for the beaches, stay for the probation baby! I don't need that shit. I understand they need to keep order at some level, but fucking people's lives over for revenue generation in a lot of these cases is bullshit.

i'd take him 7 out of 7 days of the week over Fetty Wap. but he did have a shit show.

Fuck. I think I missed a squished fish patty on a bun reference. If so, my bad.
The travel and lodging is the biggest thing with Coachella that I'm unsure of. I'd love to go the Hangout route and rent a condo or something but then you're driving everyday and I can't imagine being able to drive home after the fest each day. I feel like camping would be tough too flying from Chicago, because id have to bring so much shit.
Go to Coachella. We loved it. So well run. It was amazing.
This was our 7th Hangout but Coachella has always intrigued me
Did you camp or stay in a house locally?
Last year I got a hotel in Palm Springs. It was great but expensive. Camping this year was a lot more fun because of the community and silent disco/Antarctic but the comfort was lacking a bit because it is hard to fly with serious camping equipment. Overall I like Coachella significantly more. Hangout was still a blast but nothing pales in comparison

Back is killing me from the shake down the West entrace VIP line gave me. Guy grabbed my swim trunks and shook the hell out of me. Walked into the fest and 5 mins later my lower back was killing me.

This is the biggest draw for me of hangout. Staying in the condo, being able to walk back and forth from there. This is my concern and biggest drawback of pulling the trigger on Coachella.
Flying in, so camping is out. Not feeling a shuttle but I can at least try and pay for the hotel with points, but not ideal getting back

Camping is still very possible if you want. My campsite was modest but it did the job well enough.

No no security was so lax this year man. don't spread that propaganda.

Lax some days but the last day a cop got way too comfortable after I made it through security. Dude completely unprovoked pulled me to the side and searched everything. I had nothing to hide but he looked down my pants (yes completely down my pants) and gave me a very thorough pat down to put things in polite terms

This was Sunday, and he did it twice to me. First a small shake and then a violent shake as if he was trying to get something to fall out of my pants. The girl next to him was just patting down people.
Man some of the security issues people have in here blow my mind. I've literally only had one time where they pulled me aside and I was really fucked up so that was completely my fault. They def check you thoroughly compared to some other fests but idk, it's never been THAT bad for me.

Not a camper only a glamper. Festival snob for sure. Did Bonnaroo 2007 in a RV and thats the extent of my camping experience at festivals
Delicious Meatball Sub has mentioned those campervans for Coachella. I've never been in one so idk how comfortable that'd be but it would probably be the best bet if you're flying in and camping I would think. Coachella's on the bucket list big time for me but it's just finding someone else willing to take the plunge with me. The wife is on the fence so that's part of why I haven't made it happen yet.
