Strange and a different direction. I'm only 1/3rd through it but I like these versions of Totem and also World Go Round - a little pop but keeping most of the hippie side. I'll see if I like the rest of the album as well or not. I'm not expecting to, but so far so good beyond the early pop songs. ---------- Haven't been to shit in months (un-updated sig line) and skipped Imagine this weekend though I had a chance to go. I'm gonna see Herobust tonight. I don't often go out to see a DJ. And he's pretty much nothing but dub and trap drops the whole show (most drops per capita? Haha). But he was fun at Waka 14 preparty and wherever else I saw him (Voodoo 14?). 15 for VIP was a decent enough deal. Kraftwerk in 3D next week. I'm expecting that to be a Top 10 contender for 2016 shows I saw. But who knows?
Going to see Kanye tonight and am pretty amped after seeing pictures of his floating stage in Indy last night. Read he played for a solid 2.5 hours. Went on a minute late.
Would love to see My Morning Jacket back at Hangout.
I saw this as well. Honestly that would get real annoying I feel like. I love Yeezy and I'm sure the show will still be entertaining af but I'd like that schtick for a few songs but for 2.5 hrs you'd think it'd get old fast.

I haven't had a chance to turn the volume up but I think I like the latter half which seems to be less poppy than the first half. I'm also in a general live show dry spell with the exceptions of Eve 6 and a last minute trip to see Sublime/311 which was more nostalgia driven. I've got the Kills in two weeks then the start of a packed festival run through fall with Utopiafest at the end of the month. Chock full of intimate performances from Ratatta, White Denim, Vapors of Morhpine, Rubblebucket, Charli2Na and a good handful of others. Def excited to see Golden Dawn Arkestra.
After Kraftwerk, I have Chance tickets to a sold out show. I'll probably try to catch GRIZ in October and Big G on Halloween and Tauk in November. Hopefully Day For Night will be releasing their lineup in the next couple of weeks. ----------- Elsewhere was good. New Dawn New Day is a spacier version and pretty clean. Sun Moon Stars was too dancy. Got 3 more songs to go.

I will let ya know tomorrow if my neck is hurting me from staring up. Always up for new stage ideas.

Arcade Fire – Red Hot Chili Peppers - Calvin Harris – Chance The Rapper 21 Pilots – Disclosure – Avett Brothers – String Cheese Incident Phantogram – Umphrey’s McGee - Zhu – Hardwell Duke Dumont – Danny Brown – Bob Moses – Years & Years The Front Bottoms – Catfish & The Bottlemen – St. Paul & The BB – Madeon Anderson.Paak – Bad Suns – Clasixxx – Jesse Glynne – NEEDTOBREATHE Sir The Baptist – AlunaGeorge – The Heavy – Oh Wonder - Gallant
After doing the due diligence, I like a lot more (bold) of this lineup than not. I would love to see TTB, Sheryl Crow, or Robert Plant somewhere among these performers. I really like some of the "new to me" performers like catfish and the bottlemen, the heavy, sir the baptist and others. I hate that I missed Vintage Soul. Also can see Nate Ratliffe playing next year. Throw in Wet Willie and OCMS and I'm all in.
First...I can see Sarah boo hooing for The Shins so make it happen Hangout. Second, Hot Chip = thumbs up except that strobe light gotta go. That make yutes puke. Me no like pukey yutes. LOL.
JUICY JAY...Sheryl Crow, Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Knicks, Rihanna, Pink, Pat Benetar, Shakira, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Leann Rhimes....definitely some amazing good female singers I would love to see at Hangout. Don't think Hangout will pay the bucks for Taylor or Beyoncé. They have a decent history of female performers from Grace Potter to Elle. 2016 headliner was Florence and Ellie Goulding.
Notable ladies in Hangout history; the Delta Rae lead singers, Grace Potter, Allison Kraus, Ingrid Michelson, Valeri June, Macy Gray, Brand Carlisle, Alabama Shakes, Mavis Staples, Big Freedia, Lissie, Ellie Goulding, Jenny Lewis, Tove Lo, Mary Lambert, Elle King, Halsey, and others. A lot of bands like Paramore and Phantogram feature ladies who really bring it. Between my list and cmack's, I hope to see plenty of the ladies on stage in 2017. I caught Amanda Shires show at Bonnaroo this year and wow!
TTB just started live stream from Lock'n fest. You just need to go to fans.com and click watch steam. You don't need an app or log in or anything. MMJ to follow.
Thanks esteban. Pretty cool sitting on the deck watching the boats go by and TTB live at Lock'n. TTB and MMJ BACK TO BACK!
No problem man. I knew you'd want to know about that. Set sounds great too. We watched Galactic, Moon Taxi and Phil Lesh and Friends earlier. Schedule for tomorrows stream is in Lock'n thread. I'll be catching Phish among other sets.
I enjoyed the hell out of that. Also appreciate it hat TTB isn't for everybody. Sure would like to see them warm up for MMJ at next Hangout. Die and go to the condo.

I thought Anders was awesome with phil...best ttb i've heard.
I missed a few today on the stream, but caught all these: Twiddle was absolute garbage. How can anyone like that shit? ugh Galactic was aight. I'm sure people that aren't completely burned out on them enjoyed it. Hard Working Americans was meh. Just can't get into 'em. Phil and Friends set was amazing! dat Charlie tho...whew lad TTB were great! Probably the best show from them I've ever heard. MMJ is straight owning this fest right now. Infecting young Phish kids ears with real rock n roll and making them question why they're wasting their lives following such an over-rated LIMP DICK band. Guess we'll be seeing moar 3.0 Phish dildos at MMJ and Ween shows now just like we did at Primus shows for the last 5 years. edit: nevermind...show lost steam.
Also, I've watched the ultra brown Ween show from thursday night 3 times now. Holy shit that was incredible. Just straight up painted the place brown and told a bunch of Phish goobers that it was ok to suck a dick since it was a sausage fest and that we're all friends here. Been laughing so hard at Umph and Phish fans talking shit about that show online because they don't get it. Also some solid gold comments in a Ween group talking shit about Umph while they were waiting for Ween on the stream:
"Music blows, but these lights are fucking killing it!!" "Let the lighting guy sing!" "Seriously lighting guy is the best member of the band" "Finish the fucking song already!" "Oh wow this post hair metal cock rock is bad. them shits's like the jorts of music. Bayliss looks like a giant tuna fish with that five head and buck teeth" "the band even looks bored" "This shit is giving me anxiety" "Here comes the climax!" "PSYCH" "LMAO, m' old lady just asked me if this has been one song the whole time" "Who wants to take part in a mass suicide?" "If you have harder bass than a jam band, are you then called a preserves band?" "hey guys. lets take metal riffs but cut the balls off of'em...." "This is like Rush fucked Phish up the ass and had a buttchild that was exposed to radiation." "it constantly sounds like they are about to wrap it up, but NO!" "How many times are they gonna play this song? Or am I that high? Is this real life?" "I don't hate them. I just sort of doubt their commitment to Sparkle Pony" "What drugs do you need to be on to enjoy this? I thought I'd tried everything but nothing fits." "Too many notes" "NOTES NOTES NOTES"
With all the Umph praise in here, I felt like some of you needed to read some constructive criticism.
