Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'm watching a booth for a friend that does great tie-dye work this afternoon. If anyone would like some inforoo identifiers made for '17, I'm sure he can accommodate.
I have a t-shirt and trophy shop connection and thought about printing up some shirts. Not sure we can use "Hangout" or "Inforoo" on our shirts without getting sued. Given very few of us agree on much of anything musical, we could print a bunch of shirts that say: "Ornery Contrary Thirsty Unaligned Festival Vet - Looking 4 Love". What do ya think?
Looking forward to the review. A friend is trying to get me to go to the Buffalo show with him next week but tickets are still insane at this point.
AC/DC was incredible. I saw Guns N Roses in July and this show was even better. Axl sounded just like Brian Johnson on most songs, and his signature voice only showed itself from time to time. He was a muted, toned down version of himself who really let the original members of the band shine. I would recommend seeing them on this tour if you can. Axl has even added a few songs to the setlist, so it's cool to hear rare songs played live, and it makes for a longer set. But man was it loud!
Black Sabbath was a good time too. Ozzy's voice was crystal clear. He slurred a little in the first couple of songs, but then never really did again. He gave a lot of love to the rest of the band and had the crowd cheer hard for them over and over. He never introduced himself or said his own name or asked for any love from the crowd. It was all about Black Sabbath the band, and not Ozzy the lead singer. I liked that. The rest of the band sound fresh and clear too. I loved that the venue's screens zoomed in on the guitars almost the whole show. I don't care to see what their feet are doing, but seeing exactly how their hands move, especially on the solos, was a nice touch. Made me wonder why I haven't see that more often. But other than the drummer (who is a younger guy who went hard on some drum solos) and a little bit of movement from Ozzy the rest of the band stood very still. It's obvious they are feeling their age and that it's probably good to do one final tour and then hang them up.
I would say that I usually like Black Sabbath's music better, but that AC/DC's show was better. But I highly recommend seeing both tours if you can.
Sorry to quote the whole thing but Bon Scott > Johnson and would be the only AC/DC voice I'd want to hear. I didn't see the set but AC/DC got pretty weak and predictable beginning with Back in Black and I more or less blew them off after that. Angus is a chump anyway. But you have to figure Highway to Hell, Powerage, Let There Be Rock and High Voltage were before Brian Johnson and before they became a carachature or generic version of themselves with Johnson as vocalist. I could be dead wrong since I completely lost interest in them after 1982 or so, but I suspect not. Glad it was a good show though.
Pop #1 - Kings of Leon - The White Stripes - The Shins Rap/EDM - The Flaming Lips - DJ - Tedeschi Trucks Band Jamey Johnson - Kamasi Washington - Nathaniel Ratliffe - Delta Rae Gary Clark Jr - Old Crow Medicine Show - De La Soul - Wet Willie
Haven't seen and want to see. Others: MCCartney, Fleetwood Mac, Steeldrivers, Roger Waters, Lindsey Buckingham, Boz Scaggs, Doobie Brothers, a lot of great blues bands in the NOLA and Austin areas.
Stevie Knicks is on tour this fall-winter. Anyone know who is opening for her? Probably pass on that show...been there and done that. Trying to make my bucks go a little farther.
Got a lot of friends going to Amos Lee and Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors show at Ascend Friday night...should be a good one.

Dang I would have bought a ticket before the edit. Calvin Harris, Jack u and deadmau5 would be ducking stacked even with all those "others"
ne215. . Probably would go over better at the Florabama. I saw them listed on that festival in Mobile...
krisplettuce. Yeah, I'm not a Sia or Calvin fan...but, would enjoy Jack U and Deadmau5. I watched some Die Antwoord YouTube shows, LMAO...that has to be satire.
Die antwoord would slay the boom boom tent closing slot
Their shows remind me of the movie Suicide Squad so, I could see folks getting slayed. I support the Boom Boom tent being packed since it pulls people from other stages where I will be.
Hangout has booked repeats. Zac Brown, Foos, Tre, and others on down the lineup. Given KOL has released two albums since they played, I'd say they are possible. Jack White just released an acoustic album. I like the rock Jack better than the folk Jack. But if he and White Stripes tour...I'm in. I'm thinking Calvin will be a make up and take a headliner spot. White Stripes on Friday, Calvin on Saturday, and KOL on Sunday would be ok with me.
Could this be the year we get jack white and black on one beach?
No. But I do agree Die Antwoord seems like a perfect fit for a Boom Boom closer oppo a more mainstream pop-type act (Lana, cough cough)...
Something wild and crazy in boom boom, something pop on Surf, and somebody like Cornell, Gary Clark Jr, Amos Lee, Drive by Truckers, on Main would work for me. I need to go back and see which three stages can have shows going at the same time without bleed over.

Idk hangout not far from his home in Tennessee. He's played before and I'm sure if white stripes are playing they'll be working with goldenvoice so there's a chance. maybe they do like outkast. I'm sure as long as hangout agreed to get all his ingedients for Jacks famous "Guac" we'll be good.
