In Nashville for Amos Lee and Drew Holcomb. I'm really into this new Americana genre. Festival next week $60 covers all shows. Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Hornsby, and others. Jason Isbell and Allison Krauss previous winners. Delta Rae also performed here. May stay with son and dive into the music here next week.
Amos Lee/Drew Holcomb at Ascend in Nashville turned out to be a really good show. Weather was awesome. Drew was a three piece band and basic acoustic. Loved that. I liked Amos Lee's last Hangout show better. Just too slow last night. I enjoyed his acoustic solo. Considering KOL tickets 6 October.
Dang, was hoping to pick up some Cheap Trick, Joan Jett, and Heart tickets for tomorrow night's show at the Ascend in Nashville. Sold out! Also sold out for KOL, Lumineers, Phish, and Chris Stapleton. Guess I'll hope some of these performers show up on the Hangout lineup. When did the lineup and first tickets go on sale last year? Anybody remember?
Seems like they updated website, sent out emails, initial lineup and tickets on Black Friday. Or was it Turkey day? Both sort of descriptive of that lineup. Maybe they should release 2017 lineup on Christmas or New Years Day.
I'd enjoy a Lady Gaga show. I'm pretty sure we see Calvin Harris. Neil Young as the Sunday Closer. I'd like to see John Mayer, Stevie Knicks, The White Stripes. Are the Lumineers headliners or second liners for Hangout? I'm hoping for linitial lineup with two headliners and tickets for Christmas. I could fill my condo at San Carlos by giving son and friends tickets as gifts.

I don't see how they're headliners. They're no more relevant than they were on their last touring cycle. I'd think they'd be on the border of a Main Stage sub-headliner or a Surf Closer. They'd be better suited for a Main sub but it'd obviously depend on the rest of the top 6-7.
No Alabama, Florida or Georgia shows for RHCP in the January-March dates just announced, only NOLA, Memphis and Texas as far as South/Gulf Coast. They're out west during Okeechobee Fest. Seems like ideal circumstances for a return to Hangout. Not that it gets me particularly excited.
Yeah, it would make sense. And I still have never seen them live so I would be OK with it even though it is an aging, Frusciante-less version. Much better than many other possibilities.

When you think about a quick rundown of other possible headliners that fit Hangout's demo, it could be so much worse... 21 Pilots, Calvin Harris, Drake (I'm sure he'd be a huge success for ticket sales but he's the last main stream hip hop act I want), Lana Del Ray, Kings Of Leon, Imagine Dragons, J Cole... Those are just off the top of my head.

We are lucky if we get RHCP, id prefer Fleetwood Mac and White Stripes reunion. And I'm with you, Drake headlining and G-Eazy second line would be as bad as possible in terms of rap. I would prefer a Kendrick x Schoolboy combo or chance the rapper or if his new album is good that boy cudi

My friends went to music midtown this weekend, figured out they chose Logic, G-Eazy and 21 Pilots over Big Boi, Collegrove (Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz) and Beck. Needless to say I don't approve of their music taste
The Drew Holcomb and Amos Lee show in Nashville last Friday night was really good. Crowd, that was loaded with beautiful ladies, went nuts when Amos covered Sarah Smiles. The new Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors live from the Ryman album is one of my deck favorites. I would love to see them on the beach again.
You need some new dreams instead of recurring ones. I'd suggest listening to Tedeschi Trucks Band before bed.
Speaking of, has anyone else been listening to The Marcus King Band? They're releasing an album next month and Derek Trucks plays on one of the songs. Just announced that they're opening for The Record Company here in Mobile in November. Looking forward to a nice evening of rock n roll!

Warren Haynes works with them a lot. It's good stuff.

Yeah their new album is on his label I believe. Hard to believe they're only 20 years old.
