This fest is on my bucket list. Seems like I would likely fly and then rent a car and camp. Which airport is easiest/cheapest to fly into from Chicago? When does the lineup typically drop?
When I went to the Gorge this summer we flew into Seattle. It was an easy, and VERY scenic drive. The camping there is awesome too. One thing you need to know is that it really cools off at night there. Bring some layers!

Exact same thing I did for the DMB Gorge run in 2009. The drive was beautful. Just make sure you get the supplies you need before you get to George. Made that mistake and had to drive about 30 min in the opposite direction to get supplies. Also allowed us to spend a day/night in Seattle which I had never been to before

The Cure & MMJ. Hot Damn.
If that's legit, I'm bummed the trip to Washington isn't in the cards this year. MMJ at the Gorge would be amazing and The Cure are bucketlist
Apparently, according to the Sasquatch boards, these acts are playing: The Cure, Florence + The Machine, Sufjan Stevens, M83, Major Lazer, Disclosure, Grimes, Yo La Tengo, Caribou, A$AP Rocky, Four Tet, Yeasayer, M. Ward, Tycho, Rudimental, Purity Ring, Jamie xx, Alabama Shakes, Chet Faker, Kurt Vile, Mac DeMarco, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, X Ambassadors, BØRNS, Lord Huron, Todd Terje, Oh Wonder, The Twilight Sad, Ty Segall, The Internet, Leon Bridges, Vince Staples, Allen Stone, Big Grams, Andra Day, and many more.
Damn, those tickers are pricier than I thought. $325 to $350. Was that the case last year? I'm going to Hangout the weekend before so the likelyhood of me hitting this is super low but give me a stellar line up and we'll see what happens.

I think it's cause it's a relatively small venue to have a festival at, so they can't sell as many tickets. I remember when I was looking into it last year it was way more expensive than I was expecting.

Is it better to hotel or camp for Sasquatch? What are some drawback with their camping situation?
Camping is well set up imo. People complain about the walk but it isnt bad coming from Roo. Bring food though. At least when I went in 2013 the food options were really bad in the campgrounds and in the venue.
