I'm in Ambler...I'm taking the PA Turnpike to 81 South...my daughter goes to college in Lynchburg, VA., so I'm familiar with half of the trip...it's about 2 hours to I-81 (Carlisle exit) We tried the I-95 and across VA route, and the traffic is a mess at anytime of day. The turnpike is longer and you have the tolls, but it'll be much faster. After I-81 mapquest should bea ble to help. When are you planning on leaving? We're heading out at noon on Wednesday...I'm towing the popup, and we don't want to have to white knuckle the whole ride. A nice leisurely start to the 'Roo weekend...hopefully hitting the meetup at Walmart. Let me know if you want to caravan.

yeah im coming from philly on thursday night, and from what i can tell the turnpike to 81 south straight down is the way to go... i used to do deliveries to DC and Maryland and beleive me... I95 and I495 suck!! stay away from them....
