I was thinking about doing Friday for Slingshot and just chilling in the GA Theater all night for Julianna Barwick, Angel Olsen and Ryan Hemsworth.
You'll have a blast though. I went to Slingshot last year and it was amazing.
If we go (still looking for tickets for Daughter in Atlanta that night) we're going to be at the Juliana Barwick/Angel Olsen shows and then probably check out Japan night at Caledonia.

It's bands that are actually from Japan. I've never heard any of them either.
We went last night. Not going today. It was fun. Angel Olsen was great but too short. Tsu Shi Ma Mi Re was an amazing all girl Japanese band most fun I've had at a show in a while. We also saw a little bit of Julianna Barwick, Gabi and some of the local bands playing at 40 Watt.
I saw Sunn O))) the other day at Terminal West and it was the most brutal assault on my ears that I ever, or more than, could imagine. Tomorrow night, The Earl is playing a documentary called Burn to Shine that was made 10 years ago during the moment when Deerhunter, Black Lips, Mastodon, Coathangers, etc., came into national attention. I remember when they made it and have been waiting for the day for that film to be released ever since. Algiers and Deerhunter side project will also perform. And I ate dinner in L5P this evening. Variety already had Deerhunter on the Marquee for Monday. Subsonics and Bitchin Bajas (Again) are opening.
