Saw NMH at FunFunFun last year. It was great to cross them off the list but the show was somewhat boring and I left early. Definitely not as bad as people skipping William Onyeabor last year - good luck ever catching that show again.

I was at both that FunFunFun set and roo set for NMH. Comparing those two shows is apples to oranges. Needless to say throw me in the group that skipped William

Literally anything - NMH, VW, or Phoenix - would have been better than standing in the Kanye pit line for hours just to get shut out of the pit because people were crushing each other. Really made it hard to enjoy Kanye's set after that. I still managed to catch NMH twice since then so I'm not too mad, but seeing them at Roo would have been great.

Wouldn't standing in the Kanye pit line enable you to catch VW?

Yeah I was at MMJ and don't regret that for a second. Also saw NMH another time outside of Roo and it was very good but not nearly as magical as the Roo show, which was most likely the best show they ever played.

I heard them, but didn't get to actually see much. Too sharp of an angle to even see the screens well. Sounded alright though.

That was my first MMJ show, and even I know that it was no where near the best show they ever played.

Getting into the pit for Kanye is the only time I have sincerely feared for my life at Bonnaroo.

same. it was fucking horrible. it got so squished I managed to get lifted off the ground most of the way through the barricades. I thought I had broken a rib or two getting into that pit.

Luckily for me I'm a bigger guy, I saw a smaller girl getting crushed against the rail. Between my friend and I we're able to shoulder people away to get her off of it. That mass of people was stupid. They need to keep people more organized. It can get dangerous.

Published on Dec 24, 2015 "so, there’s been this depressing christmas song i’d been singing to myself for the past 8 years, and every year i wouldn’t remember that i wanted to make it until december, which is just too late to actually record and release a christmas song... but this year, al doyle had a short break between hot chip tours where he could be in nyc, and pat and nancy were home, and tyler agreed to fly out from berlin for a few days, so we all recorded this together, reserved a pressing plant slot, and our friend bob weston was available to master it quickly—so that means, less than 2 weeks after we recorded it, there is actually a christmas 7", which feels like something that could only have happened a very, very long time ago. anyway, for the holidays we give you the previous, very long run-on sentence, and this song: “christmas will break your heart”, which is another one of those songs which had about 75 lines of lyrics, though we’ve knocked down to 8 to keep the suicide rate in check. have fun!"
